Today I want to share my emotions, which are many. A few months ago I started in Hive thanks to a friend who wrote me one night, he wanted to start an adventure with me. I did not think I would receive so much support in a short time, and I am grateful. The first post I made was my presentation and the truth is that I liked it a lot, but the post was not published as I wanted and everything was ruined, there in that moment I met the wonderful people of the OCD community.

Due to the quarantine, I haven't left home in several months and I'm not someone who has many friends, so I spent the whole day talking or reading the quips of other users on the Discord and it may sound corny, but I got attached to them. It's been quite a while now, it may seem little, but locked up at home, it's quite a while. They helped me to improve my content and suggested me to post with the "Peakd" tool. Thanks to them, today I have been able to help my family at home and I have also been able to build a new computer, which is my current tool. So I will tell you everything about what happened.

Things in my country (Venezuela) are not very stable. The prices of the products that are imported from other countries shoot up, besides that people decide to increase the prices in an exorbitant way. So in order to buy some product like a hard disk, a power supply or a motherboard, it can be very expensive. I spent many days looking for information about computers and found an assembly that could work and that had enough quality and the price was lower than any other equipment. I emphasize that everything I bought is new, not second hand. Usually people exaggerate with prices and want to sell you a product that has been used for years as if it were new. There is no point in buying something like that and having it go bad the next day.

I also want to emphasize that my purchase is not the best in the gaming market by far, but it is much better than my old and obsolete computer and it was the best I could acquire with the little money I had at hand.

I contacted a local salesman at Mercadolibre and immediately made the purchase. Together with my father we went to another city to get the product and then returned (that is the only time I went out in several months).

Everything went perfectly. The seller was very kind and the purchase was a total success. I arrived home very excited and I remember writing in the Discord "I have new PC".

I started taking pictures to be able to make a post later, and while I was making the pictures, I was assembling the pieces.

When everything was finally ready, I connected the motherboard to my old power supply, which is a generic source of very few Watts and when I was going to sing victory, the computer would not turn on.

I disassembled everything and reassembled it and it got me the same result. I was very discouraged that day not being able to use my new PC.

As time went by, thanks to Discord users, I discovered that the problem was the power source that did not give enough energy to feed the CPU.

I started to post so that I could collect some money to buy a new power supply.

And finally I was able to collect enough to buy it. But since life is life, it wouldn't be so easy. The sources of power were exhausted, no one possessed merchandise. The seller told me that in a few days he would receive merchandise and that he could sell me the power source.

But then things got worse. Some of the seller's relatives tested positive for Covid-19. My parents didn't want me to buy anything because it was too dangerous, and they were right. That frustrated me even more because the more time passed, the more I lost hope of being able to use my new computer until I thought it might be broken and that the problem would not be the source.

Then with a lot of patience and waiting, the salesman was able to come home and bring me my power supply.

I connected the power supply to the computer and it turned on, finally it could be turned on. You can't imagine the joy and relief I had at that moment.

I must admit that these days with my new PC have been only of lazy, although I have recorded a couple of games that I will soon upload, but I must also admit that everything is much more fluid and stable. I can perform multiple tasks without any problem and I can enjoy many games that before I could not even start.

In a future I plan to make some improvements in the GPU and the processor, but for now it is enough for what I need.

Recomiendo apagar las luces.

El día de hoy quiero compartir mis emociones, las cuales son muchas. Hace unos meses atrás empecé en Hive gracias a un amigo que me escribió una noche, él quería iniciar una aventura junto a mi. No creí que recibiría tanto apoyo en poco tiempo, y estoy agradecido. El primer post que realicé fue mi presentación y la verdad es que me gustó mucho, pero el post no se publicó como quería y todo se arruinó, ahí en ese momento conocí a las maravillosas personas de la comunidad OCD.

Debido a la cuarentena, no he salido de casa en varios meses y no soy alguien que tenga muchos amigos, así que todo el día me la pasaba hablando o leyendo las ocurrencias de los demás usuarios en el Discord y puede sonar cursi, pero me encariñé con ellos. Ya ha pasado bastante tiempo, puede parecer poco, pero encerrado en casa, es bastante tiempo. Ellos me ayudaron a mejorar mi contenido y me sugirieron postear con la herramienta "Peakd". Gracias a ellos hoy en día he podido ayudar a mi familia en casa y también he podido armar una nueva Pc, la cual es mi herramienta de trabajo actualmente. Así que les contaré todo acerca de lo sucedido.

Las cosas en mi país(Venezuela) no son muy estables que digamos. Los precios de los productos que son importados de otros países se disparan, además de que las personas deciden aumentar los precios de una manera exorbitante. Así que para poder comprar algún producto como un disco duro, una fuente de poder o una placa madre, puede salir muy costoso. Pasé muchos días buscando información acerca de computadoras y di con ensamblaje que podría funcionar y que poseía bastante calidad y el precio era el más bajo que cualquier otro equipo. Recalco que todo lo que compré es nuevo, no es de segunda mano. Usualmente las personas exageran con los precios y te quieren vender un producto que ha sido usado por años como si fuera uno nuevo. De nada serviría comprar algo así y que se estropeé al siguiente día.

También quiero recalcar que mi compra no es lo mejor del mercado gaming ni mucho menos, pero es mucho mejor que mi vieja y obsoleta computadora y fue lo mejor que pude adquirir con el poco dinero que tenía a la mano.

Contacté con un vendedor de la zona en Mercadolibre e inmediatamente hice la compra. Junto con mi padre fuimos a otra ciudad a buscar el producto para luego regresar(Esa es la única vez que salí en varios meses).

Todo salió perfecto. El vendedor fue muy amable y la compra había sido un éxito total. Llegué a casa muy emocionado y recuerdo que escribí en el Discord "Tengo nueva Pc".

Empecé a tomar fotos para poder hacer un post luego, y mientras hacía las fotos, iba ensamblando las piezas.

Cuando por fin todo estaba listo, conecté la placa madre a mi vieja fuente de poder, la cual es una fuente genérica de muy pocos Watts y cuando iba a cantar victoria, la computadora no encendía.

Desarmé todo y volví a ensamblarlo y me conseguía con el mismo resultado. Me desanimé mucho ese día al no poder usar mi nueva Pc.

Con el paso del tiempo, gracias a los usuarios del Discord, descubrí que el problema era la fuente de poder que no daba suficiente energía para alimentar el CPU.

Empecé a postear para poder juntar algo de dinero y poder comprar una nueva fuente de poder.

Y finalmente pude juntar lo suficiente para comprarla. Pero como la vida es la vida, no sería tan fácil. Las fuentes de poder estaban agotadas, nadie poseía mercancía. El vendedor de mercadolibre me dijo que en pocos días le llegaría mercancía y que podría venderme la fuente de poder.

Pero luego las cosas empeoraron. Algunos de los familiares del vendedor dieron positivo en las pruebas del Covid-19. Mis padres no querían que comprase nada debido a que era demasiado peligroso, y tenían razón. Eso me frustró mucho más ya que mientras más pasaba el tiempo, más perdía las esperanzas de poder utilizar mi nueva computadora, la cual llegué a pensar que podía estar estropeada y que el problema no sería la fuente.

Después con mucha paciencia y espera, el vendedor pudo venir a casa y traerme mi fuente de poder.

Conecté la fuente de poder al computador y encendió, finalmente pudo encender. No se imaginan la alegría y el alivio que tuve en ese momento.

Debo de admitir que estos días con mi nueva Pc han sido solo de holgazanear, aunque he grabado un par de juegos que pronto subiré, pero también he de admitir que todo es mucho más fluido y estable. Puedo realizar multiples tareas sin problema alguno y puedo disfrutar de muchos juegos que antes no podía ni si quiera iniciar.

En un futuro planeo hacerle unas mejoras en cuanto a la GPU y el procesador, pero por ahora es suficiente para lo que necesito.

Si has llegado hasta este punto, quiero decirte que si eres un amante de los videojuegos, eres bienvenido a publicar en la comunidad Hive Gaming. El grupo de curación de OCD hace un gran trabajo y seguramente si publicas contenido de calidad y legítimo, puedas recibir el apoyo y ser recompensado.
