First Round

I think this section is the most part that we are waiting for :). I picked the top 5 battles along with the strategies and tips that we can implement if we found the same type of mana, splinters and rulesets in the future battle ⚔️.

- BLAST + SCATTERSHOT IS A DEADLY COMBO -

Although having higher win % possibility, The fact is that I lost the match. We can see in the battle above, @hl04 made a team with very high speed ⚡️, Jacek the Conqueror giving +2 speed ⚡️ to all friendly monsters, he put 2 monsters who have swiftness ability to give additional +2 speed to friendly monsters as well. So Overall his team has higher speed than me and go first in the battle. High Speed + Blast + Scattershot is one of the most destructive combo in Splinterlands battle and as we can see in the above battle, the combo beats Byzantine Kitty 😻 even with double opportunity monsters.

Tips 💡

High Speed + Blast + Explosive Weaponry is a deadly combo. It's a super destructive attack to wipe out the opponent's monsters at the backline.

- NEVER PLAY TOO DEFENSIVE TEAM -

This is my second lost battle 😮 and my biggest mistake was that I played too defensive 🛡 and it leaves me with no critical attack 🎯 to the opponent. Meanwhile, the opponent has great sneak attack to destroy my backline (Dhampir Infiltrator, Parasitic Growth, and Uraeus). He also made great defense with protect ability from Ravenhood Warden, first tank, Xenith Monk and second tank, Riftwing. I was guessing that my opponent will play magic 👾 but I was wrong. Thanks for the battle @redeye-fire, good game.

Tips 💡

Never play too defensive because it won't kill the opponent unless the Thorn, or magic reflect or return fire work effectively.

- FILL ALL 6 SPOTS IN EQUALIZER RULESET -

At the equalizer ruleset, all 6 spots should be filled because it will make your team way stronger with the "free" additional health points by the ruleset. If we see at the above battle, There are 6 monsters who have 6 health points against 3 monsters only who have 6 HP ♥️. There's an imbalance at the start of battle and thus give the life team win the battle. Filling all spots will also protect some key 🗝 monsters (Venari Crystalsmith) as the opponent's attack could hit some other monsters in imless ruleset.

Tips 💡

Fill all the spots at equalizer ruleset to take all the advantage of it.

- USE MYLOR AT SUPER SNEAK RULESET -

In Up Close and Personal combat, Both players can only use Melee monsters so the right way to counter the opponent attack is using Mylor Crowling as he gives Thorn ability to all friendly monsters. We can also use monster who have demoralize ability to reduce all of the melee damage, One of them is Disintegrator, The common Neutral monster as we can see in the above picture. As a tank monster, we can choose either monster who have shield ability or heal ability. I would like to choose heal because they can restore their HP in each round.

Tips 💡

Use monster with Thorn and Demoralize to counter melee attack, we can use monsters with heal or shield ability as a tank monster.

- THORN AT 6^TH POSITION TO COUNTER SNEAK ATTACK-

This kind of strategy is a bit risky because there's a chance that the opponent would not use sneak monster at all, but if our guess is right, then we are most likely going to win the battle. In the above example, I put Hydra who has Thorn ability to counter the opponent sneak attack (Sand Worm and Silent Sha-Vi) and the strategy was very effective, many of their attack were missed, due to the high difference of speed ⚡️ and even if the attack was hit, Hydra could restore his HP with his heal ability.

Tips 💡

Use Thorn ability to counter sneak attack, we can make it better with triage or heal ability.
