This is Dr. Mario and his battle against viruses in a bottle [ENG-ESP]

No virus is immune to Dr. Mario as long as the medication is correct, and by medication I mean you: the gamer who must arrange the capsules correctly in a bottle full of microscopic enemies. Derived from that phenomenon called Tetris, this was one of the most addictive and challenging video games I had the opportunity to try in my childhood. It may seem to be a fairly simple game, but the truth is that among so many colored capsules and ruthless viruses, losing a game is quite likely. To win requires two things: speed and association.

Are you fast and smart enough to win the war against the viruses? At the level of Dr. Mario it's likely, but no less difficult.

Para vencer se requieren dos cosas: rapidez y asociación.

I didn't remember that Dr. Mario was from the 90s. It still strikes me as a pretty cool video game, full of everything a gamer needs to think, move his fingers smartly, and win as many games as possible. Just for being a logic-themed title, Dr. Mario wins my interest right away, especially on lonely nights when, with a little free time, I can enjoy something that has nothing to do with my routine learning. It is a good option to release a good dose of serotonin, that is, to have that friendly feeling of happiness.

For those who do not remember it or have not played it, Dr. Mario consists of eliminating viruses trapped in a bottle, using colored capsules. The capsules, which play the role of medicines, must strictly match the color of the virus to be eliminated. There are three kinds of viruses: red, yellow and blue. In a game there can be several of these microscopic enemies, so your task is to eradicate them all. Similar to the dynamics of Tetris, or other games with the same theme, you must coin colors of the same type to be victorious.

Todavía me sigue pareciendo un videojuego bastante fresco, lleno de todo lo que un Gamer necesita para pensar, mover los dedos de manera inteligente, y ganar todas las partidas posibles. Solo por ser un título con temática de lógica, Dr. Mario se gana mi interés de inmediato, sobre todo en las solitarias noches en las que, con un poco de tiempo libre, puedo disfrutar de algo que no tenga que ver con mis rutinarios aprendizajes. Es una buena opción para liberar una buena dosis de serotonina, o sea, para tener ese amigable sentimiento de felicidad.

Para quienes no lo recuerdan o no lo han jugado, Dr. Mario consiste en eliminar los virus atrapados en una botella, usando cápsulas de colores. Las cápsulas, que cumplen el rol de medicamentos, deben combinar estrictamente con el color del virus a eliminar. Hay tres clases de virus: rojo, amarillo y azul. En una partida puede haber varios de estos microscópicos enemigos, por lo que tu tarea es erradicarlos en su totalidad. Semejante a la dinámica de Tetris, u otros juegos con la misma temática, debes ir acuñando colores del mismo tipo para salir victorioso.

Like all logic games, things can't be that easy. Mario will launch a new capsule each time you position the previous one. A bad positioning of these capsules can ruin your game immediately. If you fail to eliminate the viruses and these capsules accumulate in such a way that they touch the surface of the bottle, the game ends. There are three game modes: easy, medium and hard. The only thing that changes between one mode and the other is the speed with which the capsules fall. That is to say: you must think a little faster every time you want to increase the intensity in this medical game.

For each game there will be a certain amount of viruses of the same color pair. As you progress, more and more will appear until your patience hangs by a thread. And I say this because of how difficult it can get. If you are playing for the first time or want to remember old times, I recommend the "medium" level, and then you can challenge yourself with a little more speed with the hard mode.

Como todo juego de lógica, las cosas no pueden ser tan fáciles. Mario irá lanzando una cápsula nueva cada vez que tú posiciones la anterior. Un mal posicionamiento de estas cápsulas puede arruinarte la partida de inmediato. Si no logras eliminar a los virus y estas cápsulas se acumulan de tal manera que toquen la superficie de la botella, el juego termina. Hay tres modalidades de juego: fácil, medio y difícil. Lo único que cambia entre una modalidad y la otra es la velocidad con la que caen las cápsulas. Es decir: debes pensar un poco más rápido cada vez que desees subir la intensidad en este asunto médico.

Por cada partida habrá una determinada cantidad de virus del mismo par de color. Mientras avanzas aparecerán más y más hasta que tu paciencia penda de un hilo. Y digo esto por lo difícil que puede ponerse todo. Si vas a jugar por primera vez o quieres recordar viejas épocas, te recomiendo el nivel "medio", ya luego puedes desafiarte con un poco más de velocidad con la modalidad difícil.

La partida que les muestro en este post está configurada con una dificultad "normal". Las partidas suelen ser cortas cuando juegas bien, o mucho más cortas cuando juegas muy mal. Tal vez existan muchos trucos para ganar, el mío en particular, es que debes enfocarte en los pares de colores de los virus. En ocasiones, deberás posicionar colores que no corresponden a un determinado tipo de virus, pero si manejas bien tu estrategia, puedes usar esto a tu favor. Mi recomendación es que te mantengas siempre concentrado en estas dos cosas:

• Alineación de Colores.

• Par de virus.

Enfócate en áreas donde puedas eliminar los virus, pues así estarás más concentrado en esbozar alguna estrategia que te permita ganar la partida. Toda partida depende estrictamente de la alineación de los virus, ¡mantente al pendiente de esto!

But above all, my biggest piece of advice is to enjoy the game. I think that's the coolest thing about playing Dr. Mario.
