Playing An Old Fav Game After Long Time - Bubble Bobble For NES - Stages 15 To 33

I remember playing the Arcade version of this game! I'm pretty sure that was my introduction, then I played it on NES with my younger brother to help too! I will try and find some emulation to play the arcade version again! It was such a great game. You are these little Dino characters blowing bubbles!! Real cute. You catch the baddies in the bubbles. More points if you can pop multiple at once. You go around collecting all the goodies and bonuses. I liked the challenge of having to insert another quarter to keep going in arcade! Made it more exciting to survive. For these Video's I cheated!!! haha! Now that I'm playing through again for the first time in a long time I'm getting a handle on it again. I used to do game genie cheats on this game back in the day. However by the time I was about 16 I had already beaten over a 100 games for Nintendo, Genesis and Super Nintendo. I made sure to save the password and beat this one normally too.

Took me awhile to get the hang of it back. It is all coming back now. I want to play more after this! I remember now how fun and mesmerizing the game is. The music really gets stuck in your head haha, that can be annoying hours later but at the time it's alright. Music even keeps playing when you press pause and you can't pause between stages.

And just like playing the Nintendo version back in the day it just makes me want to play the Arcade version again! I forget where the arcade version was in the town, at a store or laundromat I think. I remember there being arcades to play games, now they are rare to find! Arcade games do well and usually do well on home consoles.

I like the variety of puzzles, enemies and power-ups in the game. I cheated with faster and farther bubbles, plus since I can't die I get to keep the speed shoes forever. For me that's ok I'm doing it for pleasure at the moment, it's helping to rekindle the basic skill.

I remember now, I used to do combos on the enemies with the bubbles!! To get some diamonds and higher score count. Glad I thought of playing this game again!! I want to try some other versions of it too

I did the same thing, played arcade version first and then would play with my younger brother on NES. I played the arcade version at a comic expo a few years back and was surprised when I started to remember the patterns of the levels. Great classic game and an important one.

That's so cool! I think my bro played with me on the Arcade one too, I'm pretty sure it was at grocery store. It made for some fun classic gameplay that set a standard.
