Fogville is a gloomy place

Out in the northern section of the Heartlands, in the Whisperwoods area lies an area of mystery and the new location for the travels of Octharg, this location includes the infamous Fogmine that is riddled with Marauders and other tough enemies that requires you be prepared for anything down there.

Fogstone Bridge was discovered and with a run up the hill to the top, what was found was some Awoken Lost Ones roaming the area. It was quite common for him to be attacked a lot of the time because Octharg was different.

"Scourge of the earth, die by my magic and weapons and finally rest in peace! You are in the way of me and the Fogmine" Octharg yelled out at the rising from the dead creatures.

An ambush! Fogmine was quick to punish not healing up, with a marauder coming to swing and damage our villain as he summoned the Mud Elemental to help out and make this mine an easier clear. One Marauder was not enough for the mine oh no, there were multiple more just further along and they managed to kill Octharg after one had charged head on at him, swinging and doing some solid damage, which Octharg was not happy when reviving back into Fogmine. But this time around the Mud Elemental helped kill them off and no messing about was had.

Finally killing off these Marauders brought a sigh of relief and time to heal up ready. It was truly needed, for right away, after getting a bit further into the mine was another Marauder with a Vagrant by their side. An element of surprise was helping to gain the upper hand in a quick bout of damage dealing.

Life absorption was helpful after using the bow to do some initial damage but being quick to change weapon of choice to magic and getting them while moving about is what really helped avoid death. And another good thing about these successful fights is hitting a new level for increased power and satisfaction in the progress towards a high level and becoming a super strong death wizard.

"Mmmm this leveling is going so well and I can just feel the strength of my aura growing and my power becoming deadlier with each level and increase to my abilities."

A dark feeling was felt while looking down a long path and with good reason. What was lurking? It was a Wild Mage and they don't mess around because they have strong magic! It was a tough battle and at first there was another death for Octharg, but the next time around he had to summon the ghost black bear in order to beat the Wild Mage.

Even with the help of the ghost bear was it a tough fight when the marauders joined in, with the ghost bear getting to under half of its health before the Mage was defeated and the fight being sealed in for the victory and a quick rest to soon be had while healing up once more.

Deep in the Fogmine is some arcane fever mushrooms and crystals but also in the area is Entropist Thordem, a strong Entropist but was having a very bad day because he couldn't work out just where he was being attacked from.

This made it an easy fight for our villain to stand back, shooting Psychosis multiple times before using Dreameater, which is powerful once Psychosis has hit an enemy three times and these Psionics spells are a deadly, forbidden sort of magic that not a lot use now.

"Look at these glorious items I can loot. My a Circlet of the Limbo, Entropy Robes, Level 4 Grave Curse and Staff of Mighty Resurrection to make my death magic even stronger!" said Octharg with happiness in his voice and as he took the items earned from the fight.

How amazing the arcane fever mushrooms and crystals are is why they usually make magic users sick as they are too absorbed in the feeling that draws them in, a feeling being resisted by Octharg as he manages to quickly explore through the area and find a chest with a little bit of extra loot, before getting out before his arcane fever worsened too much.

It had been said that the weaker mages, about 30% of them have died from spending too long amongst the crytals and mushrooms, with another 35% being rendered very ill for weeks while needing special healing to save them from a horrible death, so it was always advisable to be strong and be vigilant in getting out quickly.

This was the end of Fogmine and when Octharg could finally sigh some relief, knowing that a long rest was due and how much of a tough and painful experience this place was. But the loot was grand and the experience was also helpful, so it was overall a good place to clear out but should have been done after getting a little stronger, to avoid those two deaths.

The final step was just some cleanup work outside the mine and to find a suitable location to rest in a comfortable bed, possibly back in Ark by way of the Myrad as the tower was not that far away and is how he got to Fogville in the first place.
