Octharg The Destroyer Part #13 - Fort Valstaag's Dal'Valstaag Ruins & dangerous Wisps
Dal'Valstaag Ruins & Grupub the Bone Breaker
Upon approach to Fort Valstaag there was silence in the courtyard, which lasted until Octharg started to attack the bandits occupying the courtyard. It was turning into a massacre after the ghost bear started tearing into their flesh and the staff of frostbite and sickly soul were used to drain the life of the weak fools. Next was heading into the Dal'Valstaag Ruins which is going to be a challenge, that is for sure.
Inside the ruins were more bandits waiting to kill our villain. At first it was easier due to there only being one or two at a time, guarding the paths into the main dining section where the door to get into with three Valstaag coins is guarded.
Once inside this main area, this is where shit started to get serious and deadly! Blasting them with the staves while the ghost bear attacked was not working, too many of them were attacking and this resulted in numerous deaths before this final death set in motion the required tactics to win.
"Bandits shouldn't be this strong but they must have gained valuable experience clearing out Fort Valstaag of whatever was here" he said in his head before dying.
So the start of the new tactic was to just hide out of range and with cover, to avoid being constantly attacked and forcing them to run away. The Mud Elemental was going to be helpful here with its higher health points, so it was instantly summoned once a couple of bandits had been killed and the fight raged on with many more left to finish off.
Life was absorbed, bandits were smashed on by the Mud Elemental with its mighty fists and more of them were dropping until this section was finally cleared out with no extra deaths, which was a big relief for Octharg since it was taking a lot out of him and making him depressed to have died so many times.
That area was the toughest challenge he had faced so far which required a sit down at the dining table to drink potions while catching his breath.
It was time to explore through the rooms of the ruins to look for the remaining Valstaag coin to put into the lockbox so the door will open. One room saw Octharg bring out his newest summon, the Ice Elemental which was a deadlier force than its brother Mud Elemental.
"You fools will feel the wrath of our combined power! Ha ha ha! Now die puny bandits and let me through, I have to complete this place and take out Grupub the Bone Breaker."
Fort Valstaag was turning out great for experience. After some additional fights to clear out more bandits between him and Grupub the Bone Breaker and seeing the destruction caused it was a new level up and growth in power once again for Octharg The Destroyer.
Finally after looking all around for the last coin. Searching all over each room to find he had forgotten to take it off a body he found early on upon entering the ruins, Octharg had finally found the final coin and opened the door and confronted Grupub the Bone Breaker.
"Finally I meet you Grupub. Now you will be stopped and I will take all your loot and gear for myself, prepare to meet your match and the one to slaughter you!"
"Like hell will I die to a bastard like you so maybe you should prepare to die!" Grupub shouted back.
With the Ice Elemental already out and ready to fight it was time to back up as it took hits from Grupub, allowing Octharg to cast psychosis multiple times then get Grupub mesmerised just in time for a dreameater cast to come out and show what happens when you mess with The Destroyer!
Dangerous Wisps
It was the end of the Dal'Valstaag Ruins, the loot was his and everything he wanted from the bodies of the enemies slain. Once nothing else was left of interest, it was onward outside, off to find the dragons lair but one final set of fight would be required for a clear spot to rest up as a dragon was going to be a big task to complete and a dangerous enemy.
The Wisps were everywhere. Octharg was surprised by their strength while fighting multiple at once and even the smash of the Ice elemental didn't make this an easy task.
"Damn these things are super dangerous, I have to learn to not head into too many out of the way and dangerous locations" Octharg thought to himself during the fight.
It took a while but after some running around, constantly using potions and casting spell and such, he finally managed to kill them all off and could look for a spot to rest.
This was part 13 in a series accompanying Octharg The Destroyer on his journey to regain his lost power and become the destroyer he once was.

I just got skyrim on the pc a short while ago. I guess its time to try mods.
Mods are excellent for games like Skyrim and Fallout, they add so much extra enjoyment and gameplay, especially if you have finished it multiple times.
This is Enderal and you can get it on Steam as it is a standalone game/mod, adds a whole bunch to changing the actual game, while keeping a lot from it still.
Damn it, I have Skyrim from Game Pass thanks to Microsoft buying Bethesda. Now the question of if I buy another copy of Skyrim, haha.
Maybe wait until the next Steam sale and pick it up cheap, makes buying another copy worth it haha.
