Chrono Trigger Part #9 - Beating Nizbel & attempting to challenge Lavos

Bit delayed today I apologise. Have had to deal with things for my back like scans and such since it has been in a lot of pain lately.

This is game #3 in my series for completing SNES games using an emulator and ROMs.

In part 9 for the game Chrono Trigger I get through the end of the Reptile Lair by facing off against the dinosaur boss Nizbel which provides a nice challenge. Remembering the trick to weakening dinosaurs with lightning though, it helped to make the fight a lot easier than it would have been without the lightning.

Eventually I get the option to fight Lavos and I decide to give the challenge a go... Little did I know it was a mistake.
At first it was easy due to Lavos taking on abilities from bosses throughout the game and starting easier, as I kept going I knew it would keep on getting harder and harder! As the last boss I challenged, it was Magus which was the next chapter in the game after where I was at, so the fight took about half an hour and I won it, then quit because he changed to the boss after that and I thought, yeah nah screw this shit haha!

But now I have a good idea of how he will be later on, or I hope so, but require much more leveling and chapters to be completed before I can beat the rest of the bosses he mimics.

Streamlabs OBS used for recording and setting the scene with SNES font, my avatar and the game picture for what I am playing.

Emulator used: RetroArch
ROMS: They are the games
Saving: Using emulator saving between levels or occasionally in tough parts so I don't always die and repeat so then the game can get completed.
