Travelgirl's Splinterland Luck Returned?
Hi Everyone,
While I was curating posts for Splinterlands, I came across a whole of heap of players opening packs and getting some pretty good stuff. It has been awhile since I've bought packs (I think last batch was from the kickstarter for Untamed) so seeing these nice pulls, I am itching to have a go. I have some DEC available so why not, let's buy a couple of packs to see my luck. I did make sure I have the two potions activated so I can maximise my changes of getting something at the opening.
What can I say .... wow wow wow! Both packs had cards which "shook" and yessss they are legendaries. Shame not gold BUT I cannot complain! Now this got me thinking, is it because the lucky god is with me, or is it the potions or the system knows I haven't bought many recently and is giving me some "sweets"? Either way I am super happy with the results.
I haven't had much luck with packs so in the past I have just bought from the market what I needed and work with that. I'm not a huge risk taker and would think that rather spend the DEC or $ on the pack and risk of not getting what I wanted. This time I was lucky to gain from the packs but previous times not as lucky so it's more about taking the risk and what return you expect from it. I think quite a number of people like the markets as well because at the time of writing, there are over 7000+ sales and $3600+ volume in the last 24 hours.
Remember two weeks ago I said I was going to expand my deck. It was between Gloridax Magus and The Vigilators .... since I now have a Gloridax Magus, I think Splinterlands have chosen my path and I will probably work on leveling up this card UNLESS The Vigilators drop price significantly or I see the need for it then I will get it.

Yes that is true but I was hoping a legendary I didn't have BUT i am not complaining haha. It will definitely be a keeper at this stage.
Yeah, same here saw people pulling some nice cards on opening packs. I am not that kind of person either, to take risks on opening packs. But sometimes it is hard to resist when u see others getting decent/amazing cards. Btw congrats on the legs and all the best for upgrading the decks.
exactly so I took that risk this. maybe give yourself a limit of 2 packs a fortnight or something so you feel like you still have a chance?

My splinterlands luck is 💩💩. I have DEC but been saving them just in case I need to start a guild, also last few buys were terrible and I cant even figure out if the potions are working or if they get used every time I claim a reward cos I never seem to have any left when I open orbs.
Sometimes I think my luck sucks but when I see things like this, I'm like okies its not too bad after all. My understanding is the potions only gets used when a card is opened even reward card. So it won't be used to open another potion for example
