Advent Drawing Challenge 2020: Jolly Holly

Rascal is a mother raccoon who is busy dumpster diving in the city where hoomans live. She got baby raccoons that needs feeding and taken cared of. One late afternoon Rascal found a big bag of goodies filled with candies, grapes, cookies and hotdogs. She hurriedly grabbed and slid them inside her bag and went home ho skipping merrily.

Here are some screen shots of the drawing in progress:

The rough sketch does not say much other than I want a fluffy looking raccoon character that is my starting point

The final line drawing shows that I had lessened the plump figure because I was looking for more. I do not know yet what I will add or remove.

After finishing the base colors, once again, I am having challenges choosing the right colors. Take a look at these shades of browns and reds which I think should not be matched together.

Here at this stage I added this bag. This is again an afterthought. I was already good with the jolly raccoon hop skipping playing with holly leaves but that was too obvious for the prompt. I thought I would add something that makes the raccoon happy and jolly and that would be yummy treats.
