Celebration time: I sold my first online course (ESP/ENG)

Hi Hivers!

Today I come here to celebrate a win: I have sold my first online course!!! 🎊🙌🍾

I created my first ever online course about how to become a Digital Nomad. The idea came to me in summer when a few friends were asking me to teach them how to become digital nomads. So I thought I could create an online course that I could sell as well to other people through my travel blog.

Here I would like to share the process:

1. Writing down with pen a paper an index of the different modules and how do you plan to structure the course.
2. Creating the written material in which you are going to record the course.
3. Recording the lessons --> this for me was the most challenging since I am not used to record myself and I found difficult to talk to a camera with no one listening. I recorded several times the same lesson. I assume that for the future online course I create this part will go more smooth.
4. Choosing the platform in which you are going to sell your course. In my case I chose Hotmart because they make the process very simple.
5. Uploading the videos and reviewing the subtitles. I think is important to use subtitles. This part took me more than I expected.
6. Creating the sales page. I actually have 2 sales pages. One that is in the blog and another one that is on Hotmart. Which one do you prefer?
7. Selling the course. This part I am starting to do now. So far I have just shared it in my blog and with some friends. From tomorrow I am doing a plan for social media.
8. Using affiliates. Another reason that I like to use also Hotmart is because of they make easy the affiliate marketing. If you would like to become an affiliate and get 25% of commission, you can request to join here.

Also regarding the experience in general, I would like to mention that as it usually happens, it took me more time than I expected to create it. I thought that in a week I could have it done and, at the end, it took me a month.

It's true that the process could have been shorter if I wouldn't have had to move in between and if I would have had my own space. I had to go to a coworking space to do the recordings and the room that I was using was not always free.

For these reasons recently I appreciate having a long term place to live where I can have everything I need to develop my business and not moving all the time. (This is one of the cons of being a digital nomad :P)

I am very happy and grateful to have sold my first online course. Another thing that I am also working on is programming my subconscious mind to sell more courses.

Hoy vengo a celebrar un triunfo: ¡He vendido mi primer curso online!!! 🎊🙌🍾

He creado mi primer curso online sobre cómo convertirse en Nómada Digital. La idea se me ocurrió en verano cuando algunos amigos me pedían que les enseñara a ser nómadas digitales. Así que pensé que podía crear un curso online que pudiera vender también a otras personas a través de mi blog de viajes.

Aquí me gustaría compartir el proceso:

1. Escribir con bolígrafo un papel un índice de los diferentes módulos y cómo piensas estructurar el curso.
2. Crear el material escrito en el que vas a grabar el curso.
3. 1. Grabar las lecciones --> esto fue para mí lo más difícil, ya que no estoy acostumbrado a grabarme a mí mismo y me resultó difícil hablar a una cámara sin que nadie me escuchara. Grabé varias veces la misma lección. Supongo que para el futuro curso online que cree esta parte irá más fluida.
4. Elegir la plataforma en la que vas a vender tu curso. En mi caso elegí Hotmart porque hacen el proceso muy sencillo.
5. Subir los vídeos y revisar los subtítulos. Creo que es importante utilizar subtítulos. Esta parte me llevó más de lo que esperaba.
6. Crear la página de ventas. Una que está en el blog y otra que está en Hotmart. ¿Cuál te gusta más?
7. Vender el curso. Esta parte la estoy empezando a hacer ahora. De momento sólo lo he compartido en mi blog y con algunos amigos. A partir de mañana estoy haciendo un plan para las redes sociales.
8. Utilizar afiliados. Otra razón por la que me gusta usar también Hotmart es porque facilitan el marketing de afiliación. Si quieres convertirte en afiliado y obtener un 25% de comisión, puedes solicitar unirte aquí.

También en cuanto a la experiencia en general, me gustaría mencionar que, como suele ocurrir, me llevó más tiempo del que esperaba crearlo. Pensaba que en una semana podría tenerlo hecho y, al final, tardé un mes.

Es cierto que el proceso podría haber sido más corto si no hubiera tenido que desplazarme entre medias y si hubiera tenido mi propio espacio. Tuve que ir a un espacio de coworking para hacer las grabaciones y la sala que utilizaba no siempre estaba libre.

Por estas razones recientemente agradezco tener un lugar a largo plazo donde pueda tener todo lo que necesito para desarrollar mi negocio y no estar moviéndome todo el tiempo. (Este es uno de los inconvenientes de ser nómada digital :P)

Estoy muy contenta y agradecida por haber vendido mi primer curso online. Otra cosa en la que también estoy trabajando es en programar mi subconsciente para vender más cursos.
