Hello Asean Hive friends!🤗🤗

Yesterday was my birthday. Since my son is away from College and can't go home to celebrate my special day so hubby and I decided we will invite our starting and growing my business class at church which I am facilitating to celebrate with us.

We brought them to our favorite happy place, The Paper Tree resort which I have made a blog before already. Kindly check out my previous post about this beautiful getaway place. https://peakd.com/hive-141359/@aideleijoie/wednesdaywalk-at-the-paper-tree-spring-resort-that-makesmesmile

They have never been to the place and since it's summer so we celebrated my birthday their. Sunday afternoon a day before my birthday, after our classes hubby and I headed to the market to buy some meat and fish and other stuff needed for the celebration. Then when we got home I was already super busy prepping the meat, marinating the 4 kilo liempo or pork belly cut for the barbecue. Cleaned the 5 kilo telapya fish which will be grilled at the venue together with the pork belly barbecue. Then I Cooked 4 kilos Hamonado. Hamonado is like Ham but this one is prepared differently. I cured or marinated the pork tenderloin for an hour with Filipino lime or kalamansi with soy sauce and pepper before frying the cut tenderloin in serving size. After frying I set aside the fried pork then sauteed some onions add in the remaining marinade sauce, placed the pork and added some pineapple juice then let it simmmer until it becomes so tender and the juice becomes saucy, then add in the pineapple chunks.... Wooohooo! What a delight! Problem is I was so busy
I was not able to take photos of what I have been cutting, cooking, prepping.... Haha
I also made the very delicious Filipino dessert, buko pandan!

It's made by cooking the gelatin, the green one. Then place in the ref to cool then Slice it into cubes add in some buko or Coconut meat. For its sweet taste I added all purpose cream with condensed milk and then chilled overnight... So heavenly! Before eating better write your name or You will forget it while eating this delightful dessert... Haha

Since I have no photos of it for now just kindly visualize how the food looks, let your imagination do the work. Haha

I slept late around midnight and woke up early to cook another dish. The Pancit Canton or noodles because they say the noodles symbolizes long life.. haha praying it would happen.
Also Cooked rice because rice is life with us Filipinos. We can never live without rice! We are so infatuated with rice. We can never separate with rice! Divorce is never an option!😁😂😂

The meeting place was at our chapel
Around 8am. When we arrived there several of our church mates were already there. All of them were so happy and excited to go to the place most specially the kids. Hubby and I drove separately. I took our pick-up truck while hubby drove our L-300 utility van because we don't know exactly the number of people who will go so just Incase we have two vehicles. Our other church mate arrived and brought her car and another one brought his van so there where four vehicles already. We decided to leave our utility van and will use the van since it's air-conditioned so the passengers won't feel the heat of the summer sun during our travel.
While waiting for the others to arrive, you know Filipino time??, always late!😁
So when you come here don't be surprised, when you say we will meet at 1pm and people will arrive past 1pm usually thirty minutes to an hour late... Haha
That's why I said we will pick them up at 7:30am because it is expected people will arrive at 8:00 and yah they did not break my expectations.
Haha... In fairness to the others they were on time but since others live from far places so it was expected.
So while we waited we took some photos to kill the time. The late had some reason why they were late.... They bought a cake for my birthday.... Haha, okay apologies accepted.😁😍😍

We drove for an hour and a half going to our destination. When we arrived there, omg! They so love the place most specially the clear waters. I rented the biggest cottage because we won't fit on the small nipa huts which could only fit 6 to 8 people. There were more than twenty adults plus five kids so we really don't fit special during eating time we needed a bigger space and a long table.

I asked the boys meaning hubby and our other adult members to take charge on the grilling while some of us females helped in the prepping of the food and the table.

While others already dived in the cool crystal waters most specially the children. They were all in a hurry to change and then jumped in the waters. I took some photos of them and didn't know while I was snapping one of our church mate also snapped a photo of me taking photos of them... Haha, so funny!

Then comes the eating time! It was just a simple lunch not so grand but the happiness and the company of such wonderful people was the most meaningful specially when they sang a happy birthday song to me first before we started eating our lunch was truly the touching moment for me made me cry with happiness inside.

In the video they asked me how old was I already and I replied, it's my debut! Meaning 18 years old! Haha
That's why everyone laughed.😍😍

Of course after our delicious meal it was swimming time!!! Not everyone swam though my mother-in-law and another sister did not for she has an online work and her boss will call any moment so they were left guarding the cottage. Plus others came late so while we were enjoying the water they were left eating at the cottage.😍😍

We played some games while in the water. We did some volleyball but we used a balloon instead.. haha, so hard. We played tug of war, played tag and It but was not able to take a photo because everyone participated.

This is brother Feliciano, he is 66 the oldest in our class. He joined the class because he has a home based aquarium business and some room for rent and wants to further learn about how to grow his business more and to learn the accounting, management, marketing side for his business.
Looks like he is enjoying as well. There is really no limits to having fun.

After swimming we ate the cake and ate again... Haha.
Then some of the ladies were wondering around the resort and took some beautiful selfies, you know just being silly, funny and feeling like a teenager again. Pretending to be Ms. Universe!😍😂

Then we hiked to the other spring resorts which I thought was just near plus it was past 2pm the summer heat was really burning us but good thing we were all wet from swimming so we just let ourselves dry. They saw the mountains and the dike. Seeing the very beautiful view of the mountain and the very vast lahar sand dunes brought about by the Mt. Pinatubo eruption last 1991 was really a very happy feeling that we forgot how hot it was. Plus when we saw the other spring resorts which were just new because when we went there last year these resorts weren't there yet.

Now probably next time, these resorts will be on my next blog.

When we came back to the Paper Tree resort. Our kind sister called me and hubby so we can have our photoshoot as well. So we both happily obliged since we have never done a photo shoot that feels like a prenup before.... Haha
There are videos but I won't post it here, I will post them on my reel.

Haha, love is in the air... So many ants present because of our sweetness!😁😂😍 Plus the sister who took it is still very much single at 40 so she kept on laughing at us. We just followed her instructions on what to do since she was our videographer/photographer.

Then it was time to say goodbye, 4pm we headed back home but instead we visited the farm of our fellow class member. Her farm was really very far from the city and felt like you are traveling to the farthest part. At first we were traveling on a paved and cemented road until we climbed a mountain onto a dirt road which was very dusty good thing we were air-conditioned.

They were raising quails and their farm is producing 30,000 eggs a day. They have some pigs as well. Giant pigs is what I call them, for they were so huge and long. That explains why their farm is so far away.
