Hello everyone

Phuket (48km/30mi from north to south) is the largest island of Thailand (1,648km/1,024mi from north to south) located in the south of the country and 900km/550mi north of the equator, Phuket is not in the Gulf of Thailand but in the Andaman Sea.

Today we are going to make a bit of drive to go to the north of the island to a particular beach where the planes are landing on you and as usual I will be your guide to Mai Khao Beach, just behind the Phuket International Airport.

Are you ready? Have you charged your smartphone or camera to take some nice pictures? Have you checked the arrivals on the flightradar24 website or installed the mobile app?

December to April (Thai New Year) are the best months to go due to the largest number of planes. Most of the big planes arrive in the morning until lunch time (mid-day is when they are most numerous) and there is also numerous domestic flights. In total, about 60 flights a day arrive in Phuket.

Mai Khao Beach is located in Thalang District, one of the three districts in Phuket. Depending where you stay on the island, usually in the south, it's approximately between 35 kilometers and 45 kilometers to drive. At 23 kilometers from my home, to get there I need to take Thepkrasatree Rd, the main road going to the airport.

At 5 kilometers before the airport turn left into a road that has a sign saying Mai Khao Temple, it's easy to not see it then be aware. Drive for about 3 kilometers and turn left one more time before reaching the temple.

Then drive straight for another 1 kilometer, notice Soi Mai Khao 4 on the right-hand side, keep driving. You will see pine trees, beaches and a market with a huge parking, a good place to park in the shade of the trees and close to our final destination.

สวัสดีคร้าาาาาาา..... วันเน้..... บัวจะพาเพื่อนๆ ไปชมเครื่องบิน แบบว่าบินเฉี่ยวหัวกันเลยทีเดียว ใกล้กว่านี้ไม่อีกล้าวววววว.... จังหวัดภูเก็ตเป็นเกาะล้อมรอบไปด้วยทะเล คืบก็ทะเล ศอกก็ทะเล จึงไม่แปลกที่สถานที่ท่องเที่ยวส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นทะเล และเกาะต่างๆ ช่วงเน้..... น้ำทะเลใสม๊วกกกกกก.... ใสราวกับแก้วคริสตัลเลยทีเดียว หาดทรายก็ขาวสะอาด ช่วงโควิดระบาดเป็นระยะเวลาถึง 2 ปีแล้ว ทำให้ช่วงตั้งแต่มีโควิดระบาด ธรรมชาติได้ฟื้นฟู ตอนนี้กลับมาสวยและน่าเที่ยวมากๆ เดี๋ยวบัวจะเป็นไกด์มาเพื่อนๆ ไปเที่ยวชมเครื่องบินแบบระยะประชิดเลย ไปกันเล้ยยยยยย.....

The market have many shops which are selling local products. There are drinks, food, and souvenirs.

แหม่!!!!..... เพิ่งเคยมาครั้งแรก ก็จะทำตัวเป็นไกด์ซะงั้น 555 ก่อนออกจากบ้านบัวก็ตั้งจีพีเอส เดี๋ยวหลง เป็นถึงไกด์จะมาหลงไม่ด้ายยยยยย.... ก็ใช้เวลาขับรถประมาณเกือบ 40 นาทีกว่าจะถึงที่หมาย ตอนแรกเจอทางเข้าแบบ จีพีเอสจะพาตรูหลงรึเปล่าแว้..... เพราะเส้นทางที่เข้าไป มันเป็นสวนยางพาราทั้งสองข้างทาง แต่เห็นป้ายวัดไม้ขาว ก็เริ่มใจชื้น คงไม่หรอก ขับรถมาถึงที่จอดรถ ข้างๆ ลานจอดรถก็จะมีตลาดของชาวบ้าน ก็ขายเครื่องดื่มบ้าง อาหารบ้าง ของฝากบ้าง

บริเวณรอบๆ เป็นตลาดเล็กๆ แต่มีจุดให้ถ่ายรูปเพียบเลยค่ะ ก่อนที่จะเดินทางเข้าไปยังชายหาด ก็เก็บภาพแถวๆ จุดขายของเสียก่อน เพราะเขาตกแต่งไว้สวยงาม เพื่อให้นักท่องเที่ยวมาถ่ายรูปด้วย กว่าจะได้เข้าไปชมเครื่องบินบินเฉี่ยวหัว เฉพาะเก็บภาพแถวนี้ๆ ก็เป็นร้อยแล้ว 555

เมื่อก่อนนี้นักท่องเที่ยวสามารถนำรถไปจอดใกล้ๆ กับชายหาดได้เลย แต่เดี๋ยวนี้ทางเจ้าหน้าที่ที่ดูแลอยู่ ได้จัดหาที่จอดรถไว้ด้านนอก ซึ่งก็กว้างขวางสะดวกสบาย เพราะการนำรถเข้าไปจอดบริเวณใกล้ชายหาด ทำให้ถนนทางเข้าเสียหายโดยเฉพาะหน้าฝน ทางจะเป็นหลุมเป็นบ่อ จึงได้จัดให้มีสามล้อเครื่อง พานักท่องเที่ยวไปส่งยังบริเวณชายหาด ในราคาหัวละ 20 บาท ส่วนเด็กนั้นนั่งฟรี เป็นการสร้างรายได้ให้กับคนในชุมชนอีกด้วย ไม่ต้องห่วงว่าเข้าไปแล้ว ขากลับจะไม่มีสามล้อเครื่อง เพราะที่นี่มีคิวสามล้อเครื่องทั้งบริเวณที่จอดรถ และบริเวณชายหาด อยากไปตอนไหนก็ได้ หรืออยากกลับตอนไหนก็ได้ มีสามล้อเครื่องไว้คอยบริการแก่นักท่องเที่ยวตลอด

Previously, it was possible to drive on the small road along the beach for about 1 kilometer to reach the part of the beach where the planes land on you. Now this is no longer possible due to a decision by the local government as the road is too damaged to do so.

I highly recommend that you ask one of the many motor tricycles along the road to take you there, the fare is 20 baht per person and free for children. First of all it is very funny and secondly you will do a good deed by helping these warm people who come for most of them from poor provinces of Thailand.

During my motor tricycle ride to the beach, I chatted with the driver, this one told me that since 2 years and the beginning of the epidemic of Covid-19 he stopped driving because no tourist at all and that it is only since one month that the activity resumes little by little.

Both sides of the road are lined with large pines. and pool villas.

It takes only 10 minutes to reach the beach from the market.

There is also a shop selling drink and snacks here.

นั่งรถสามล้อเครื่องเข้ามาที่หาด ใช้เวลาเพียง 15 นาทีเท่านั้นค่ะ สองข้างที่เข้ามาก็จะเต็มไปด้วยต้นสน ที่เรียงรายอยู่ตลอดทาง และมีพลูวิลล่าหรูด้วย ก็อยากจะมาพักสักคืนอะนะ เปลี่ยนบรรยากาศบ้างไรบ้าง

สวยใช่ไหมหล่ะ หาดไม้ขาวเป็นหาดที่มีความยาวน่าจะเกือบๆ 10 กิโลเมตรได้นะ ทะเลสีฟ้า ท้องฟ้าสีคราม บางคนก็กว่าเขียวเหมือนมรกต แต่บัวว่ามันเป็นสีออกน้ำเงินๆ มากกว่านะ

Mai Khao Beach is the northernmost beach on Phuket Island, it's 10 kilometers of sand along the emerald green sea as beautiful as the other beaches of this island.

Most tourists like to take pictures here but the beach is not popular for swimming because in this area the sea is quite deep very quickly and the beach is narrow making it unsafe.

This beach also has sea cicadas, the appearance of the shell and legs are similar to those of shrimp, especially the eggs of cicadas will be similar to shrimp eggs. This area also has a variety of sea turtles that will come up to lay their eggs every year as well.

But the point that tourists pay the most attention is the distance of about 200-300 meters behind the Phuket International Airport.

This means that the planes are only a few feet above your head when they land on the runway just behind the fence.

To be able to take nice pictures of you with the planes right behind you you have to stand on the small dune in front of the fence behind the airport.

จุดบริเวณที่ถ่ายรูปคู่กับเครื่องบินได้สวยที่สุด ก็เห็นจะเป็นบริเวณใกล้ๆ กับรั้วของสนามบิน เวลาเครื่องบินจะลงจอด ดูแล้วเหมือนเฉียดหัวเราไปนิดเดียวเท่านั้นเอง บัวใส่หมวกปีกกว้าง ต้องรีบจับหมวกให้แน่นเลยคร้าาาาาา..... ไม่งั้นงานเน้..... ได้วิ่งไล่ตามตะครุบหมวก จะว่าไปก็มีอยู่รอบหนึ่งที่เครื่องบิน บินมาเฉี่ยวหัว บัวไม่ระวัง หมวกปลิวเลยจร้าาาา..... คนที่วิ่งตามตะครุบหมวก คือลูกชายนั่นเอง 555

You can take pictures of planes landing coming from the seashore closely.

A good tip to synchronize with the arrival of planes and not need to kill your eyes scanning the sky for minutes to see if a plane is coming is to install the mobile application flightradar24 and take a look at the map, then click on the nearest aircraft to get its information.

The direction of landing on the runway of an aircraft depends mainly on the wind direction. If the wind is blowing normally, with no change in direction, then the plane will descend in the right direction, so remember to take a look before you get there to avoid disappointment 😉

This place became popular after national tourists who like to walk along the often very remote beaches found it, then word of mouth did the rest. Some people are popular for sitting for hours watching or taking pictures of planes taking off and landing at Mai Khao Beach

ก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งบทประสบการณ์ บัวนะอยากมาเที่ยวที่นี่นานม๊วกกกกก..... เพิ่งจะได้มีโอกาสมาเที่ยว แต่ดันมาเที่ยวช่วงที่มีโควิด ซึ่งตารางการบินก็จะไม่แน่เหมือนเมื่อก่อนมีโควิด เครื่องบินที่บินมาลงจอดส่วนใหญ่ก็เป็นลำขนาดกลาง ทำให้เวลาถ่ายรูปมันยังใหญ่ไม่สะใจ คุณสาเช็คแล้วว่ามีสายการบินอะไรบ้างที่จะมาลงจอด มีเครื่องบินลำใหญ่อยู่ 2-3 ลำ แต่มันต้องรอนาน

ช่วงที่ไปก็ได้ถ่ายรูปเครื่องบิน 3 ลำ แดดก็ร้อนพอสมควร นักท่องเที่ยวก็มีมาเรื่อยๆ แต่ส่วนใหญ่ถ่ายรูปไม่นานก็กลับ ส่วนบัวกับสาและลูกก็รอ ตอนแรกจะรอลำใหญ่ แต่ต้องรออีกเป็นชั่วโมง แดดก็ร้อน เสียงเครื่องบินมันดังอยู่ตลอดเวลา ก็เลยกลับดีกว่า

ภาพเน้.... คุณสาถ่าย แต่ตอนที่ไปที่หาดไม้ขาว กล้องนางมีปัญหาทั้งสองตัว ก่อนไปนางไม่ได้เช็คก่อน เพราะคิดว่าไม่น่าจะมีอะไร เพราะเพิ่งถ่ายรูปไม่กี่วันที่ผ่านมานี่เอง ภาพที่ได้เลยไม่ค่อยสวยเท่าที่ใจต้องการ

พอชวนกลับบ้าน ลูกชายดันอยากเล่นน้ำ แต่บริเวณนี้ห้ามเล่นน้ำ เพราะเป็นทะเลลึก และแคบ อันตราย นักท่องเที่ยวส่วนใหญ่ที่มาที่นี่ ก็จะมาถ่ายรูปคู่เครื่องบิน ยามเย็นๆ ก็มานั่งเล่นตามชายหาด แต่ช่วงนี้นักท่องเที่ยวไม่เยอะ เพราะพึ่งเปิดประเทศ เย็นๆ ก็ไม่มีคนแล้ว

เรือลำนี้แล่นอยู่ไกลมาก สาซูมก็เลยได้ภาพที่ใกล้ บางทีการไปถ่ายรูป เห็นอะไรผ่านตาก็ถ่ายไว้หมดแหล่ะ 555

สำหรับใครที่อ่านภาษาอังกฤษ แล้วมาอ่านมาภาษาไทย อิหยังว่ะ!!!!..... ทำไมแปลไม่เหมือนกัน อย่างง อย่าสงสัย บัวเขียนเป็นภาษาอังกฤษก่อน แล้วค่อยมาใส่ฟิลลิ่งเป็นภาษาไทย ดังนั้นแปลออกมาแล้วแทบจะไม่เหมือนกันเลย 555 แต่เนื้อๆ ก็ใกล้เคียงกันค่ะ

ก่อนกลับก็เซลฟี่ตัวเองสักหน่อย ตอนแรกสาถ่ายให้ แต่ถ่ายออกมาไม่ถูกใจ ถ่ายคนยังไงให้เป็นหมู 555
