👩 Tiny Wife Starts Tiny Fire In The Window 🔥 & Work Begins On Our Fence 🏗️
While preparing dinner I looked up and saw @sreypov lighting the fire, perfectly framed by the security bars in the window.
Fence Work Begins 👷♂️
Hours before the above thumbnail was taken, work began on our fence project. My brother-in-law arrived last night, and today he began work on digging postholes. There is a low spot near our neighbor's house that I want to raise before building the fence, so I've borrowed a wheelbarrow and have been doing my best to backfill the area, but it will likely take 100+ wheelbarrows to level it.
Thai Envy 🌿
Just across the border in Thailand I can buy this herb in dispensaries, but here in Cambodia an old cultural law exists that allows households to grow 2-3 plants. The activity in Thailand has caused many Khmers to show renewed interest in the benefits in this incredible plant, and I suspect Cambodia will follow suit in the next 5 years. Until that day I'll focus on my 2 legally allowed plants.
Daredevil Srey-Yuu 🦸♀️
I was a little late on this shot, but I caught Srey-Yuu doing some stunts on little sister's bike. She rode down the bamboo stairs that lead up to the highway shack, and I'm sure it rattled her bones a bit, but kids recover quickly from these things, not like us dinosaurs.
Not but a few seconds after Srey-Yuu's extreme bikin', a neighbor boy launched himself off a big rock while holding a smaller rock, not really sure the reason, perhaps trying to impress Monkey-B with his talents. I'm not familiar with this kid at all, but he seemed even wilder than Ah Boom, something hard to fathom. A little after this shot, I overheard these boys practicing screaming various "f*ck" phrases in English, and I let them know they'd need to leave my property to continue speaking like that.
Go Noni Go 🌱
A few months ago we scored some noni saplings and planted them on our land. Noni trees have the ability to grow nearly anywhere, and sure enough these little things have survived the hard part and sent roots through the clay. They're finally showing signs of new leaf growth, and I've given them a bit of charcoal to enrich the soil and give them a boost.
Quick Swim With My Aqua Buddy 🏊♀️
With the evening approaching, I was a bit sweaty and sticky, so I offered Monkey-B a chance to swim, and as always, she never refuses. Even though we had only a few minutes to swim, we still had fun, and Ah Boom came to watch and throw rocks at us while we swam. This little guy rarely does kind things, and the other day he was being so rude in our house that I had to scold him in front of his mother, an awkward moment for all.
Keeping Dad Entertained 👨👧
While doing kitchen cleanup, my swimming buddy kept me entertained with a little read from one of her books. Every day I give thanks that my daughters are also my best friends, and when I have free time, there is nobody else I'd rather spend my time with than these two young ladies.

Dude I can seriously feel the heat when reading about those boys around your property parameters. I guess pretty soon you'll need a shot gun. Praying hard this can be positively taken care off after the fence being done.
Haha, well, the missus doesn't exactly know how to hang out, she prefers to unwind in a quiet place with her phone, so we let her do her thing. The boys in the village are full-on wild and have nothing but a lack of discipline at home. But as a father of two precious daughters, it is also important that I strike fear and terror into the hearts of all the boys in the village at an early age 😉. I can't wait until the fence creates a situation where folks have to ask permission for entry, that will change the dynamic and vibes within the property.

Thanks for the Ecency tip, I didn't know about this, but it makes sense considering the dip in HIVE, even curating in ASEAN Hive is very tight now, I've had to reduce the voting formula several times already.
Looks like you are doing continuous improvement to your house. That should keep you pretty busy.
This is our second wave of renovation, not exactly an opportune time with crypto in the gutter, but we'll try to go slow and cheap and hope we can make a withdraw in the next month when prices may or may not be better.

Bike riding is now a little more extreme at our new home, very little flat ground to use. The downhills do make some short adrenaline bursts. You're right, this is the same boy that likes to jump on the cabin floor.
There's still a row of rocks close to the road. I thought the police said those couldn't be there, after the troublesome neighbor called them...?!?!? 🤔
The ash from all those fires will make good fertilizer for your plants, too! 😃
We moved the rocks back a bit to the recommended distance, but at the moment fence construction has begun, so we'll soon have no need for the rocks. There will still be 6 feet of unused space between our property and the highway, but we hope to grow some rows of cassava, bananas, and maybe even aloe in the that space. Each time we have a fire, a new plant gets some charcoal love.
I have read all the articles in your post and starting from lighting a fire in the middle of the night and planting medicinal plants in front of Thai houses including making new fences and until you have your own factory in Cambodia. and the delay in taking pictures of the child playing and many more good articles that you present to posts, thank you froom @zaenfullmoon

I wish Srey-Yuu enjoyed spending time with me more, she's really fun but also a teenager, and that side of her wants nothing to do with embarrassing parents. I hope Monkey-B still has a couple years left before she's tired of me too.
