Thursday Ride - A Very Hot Day

Thursday Ride: – A Very Hot Day
It was a very hot day this morning. It was 34 degrees celsius. After I picked up my first daughter from school, I wanted to ride with my wife. I planned to withdraw some money from an ATM center. The ATM center was not closed to my house. It was about 30 minutes of riding on a motorcycle. I did not go with my children because my motorcycle could only load three people while I had three children. I went with my wife. .My son played out with his friends. My daughters played with a handphone at home.
It was around 12.30 PM. The sun shone brightly. I stopped by a mini market where there were some ATMs. There was a big car box that unloaded products in front of the store. I entered the ATM counter and, sadly, the money was empty in the ATM box of my bank card. Then I decided to go to another bank branch around 2 kilometers from the mini market.

I got to the bank office, I went straight to the ATM counter. Done, I was happy because the money was available.

After that, I rode to a gas station to refill my motorcycle. In Indonesia, the fuel station is managed by Pertamina. There were queues of motorcycles at the fuel station. I should join in the lines. It took me around 10 minutes.
A liter of fuel (pertalite) for motorcycles costs 7500 IDR, or $0.6. while higher-spec fuel costs around $0.9 per liter. It is called Pertamax. I refilled 1.5 litres of pertalite. Then I went to a butcher.

It is a traditional butcher. The butcher slaughtered the poultry when there was a customer, so the meat was always fresh from this butcher. I bought a chicken. It was somewhere around $2.3.

On the way home, I offered my wife to stop at a Bakso counter. Bakso is a traditional dish. It is a kind of beef meatball soup with some noodles and green bean sprouts. It has been a long time since I last got together with my wife. I told her that it was like when we were on a date before we got married... .. haha lol... … . We always spent the weekends together at that time. so lovely......😍😍😘

We enjoyed the tasty bakso. I bought three portions of Pangsit for my kids at home. Pangsit is a kind of noodle with some spiced chicken and vegetables. My kids do not like bakso, so I bought them pangsit.

After leaving the bakso food counter, I rode home. I called my kids. My daughters were taking naps because they had exams in school and they were tired. I called my son to eat the pangsit. He looked hungry and enjoyed the pangsit.

Thanks, this noodle is originally a chinese food but here the taste and the spices accommodate the local taste so it can be different taste from the original pangsit from China.

That's a great walk of yours my friend. Ang the pangsit looks delicious too. A similar food is sold here in the Ph too and they call it batchoy. Its loaded with lean beef and liver too. But some uses pork, and they add either raw or boiled egg o in it.

batchoy

Baso or bakso it spells "bak-so". I think it is the same in the origin but difference is saying. Because the local demand, there are some differences too and style of serving. Thanks for dropping.

A familiar site, many motos queuing for a chance to fill up on fuel. I was looking at the butcher when I noticed how long his cigarette ash was, hope it didn't fall into the chicken 😁.

The food looks so mouth-watering! We also have Pansit here in the Philippines, I think it's the same thing as the ones you guys have there.

Yes, there are many similarities in Philipines and Indonesia. I think our ancestors are the same too.
