The joy of eating pakoras, singaras, and potato chops by the roadside.

‎

How is everyone? I hope you all have a wonderful and joyful time. In today's segment, I will share some street food with you. At the specific 'Khamarbari More' (Khamarbari intersection)—on the right-hand side—various items such as Singara (samosas), potato Chop (potato fritters), Beguni (eggplant fritters), and boiled chickpeas are being sold.

Dhaka is truly a unique city, teeming with a vast number of people and a multitude of shops and small businesses. People flock here from villages and various other regions to earn a living, often operating these small businesses from the late afternoon well into the evening. I was out walking—something essential for my health—when I noticed a crowd of people gathered to eat. Seeing everyone else enjoying the food, I decided to try it myself to see what the quality and taste were like.

Later, I had a plate of four singaras; the aromatic coriander leaves combined with the aloo dum (spicy potato filling) inside created a truly delightful sensation. The special aloo dum filling and the crispy, deep-fried pastry made them incredibly tasty—perhaps even more enjoyable since I was having them after such a long time. Generally, however, it is not ideal to sell food in such an exposed manner; I even mentioned this to the business owner. While the food was delicious, the experience was made even better by sprinkling some black salt over it. It would have been far more hygienic if they had sold these items from behind a glass display case. After all, street dust and vehicle exhaust can instantly contaminate the air people breathe and the food itself with harmful particles.

That is why I believe these foods should be sold in protective packaging. Furthermore, I think such foods are suitable for consumption when one feels hungry while walking on the street, as no one knows when or where hunger might strike. Therefore, I believe one should opt for high-quality, healthy food options.

One should eat food not only because it is delicious but also by checking for proper protection and ensuring it is covered. However, I finally managed to eat three samosas, and there is no chance of eating any more because I simply cannot eat another bite.

After finishing my meal, I have been walking around this area, feeling refreshed and prioritizing my well-being. The surroundings offer a pleasant, charming atmosphere, and despite the mild warmth and heavy crowds, it is a delightful experience—one has to simply seize the right moment to walk here. Thank you all very much; I hope you have a wonderful time. Goodbye.

Haha! You know that feeling when you see other people eating, and you suddenly get hungry too, especially when they really seem to be enjoying their food.

It’s always nice to try the local food wherever we go, right? That way, we get to experience and appreciate the taste of their local delicacies.

It would also be better if the food vendors used covers to protect the food from dust, flies, and other contaminants. That way, people can enjoy the food while keeping it clean and safe to eat.
