My Wednesday Walk Made Me Smile!: Going To My Grandson's First Birthday.___ by @tattoodjay & @elizacheng

Hello everyone! Yesterday was my grandson's first birthday so I have to leave Antonia behind as she's got a handful of academic assignment. She stayed with her father while I'm away for two days. Everyone was busy with their respective livelihood since it's a working day so they decided to have a morning breakfast prayer with our pastor to express our gratitude to God for the wonderful gift He had bestowed upon the loving parents of baby Jairus Raphael who just turned one yesterday, November 9, 2022.

Our baby had been feverish since the previous night hence his mom had to stay with him to nourish him with her milk while I prepared the food for breakfast. My daughter instructed that the theme will be sort of Breakfast Grazing Table which consisted of the following:

• Hungarian Hotdogs
• Chicken Tocino
• Bacon Strips
• Egg rolls
• Boiled eggs
• Grapes
• Oranges
• Apples
• Garlic Bread
• Petite Doughnuts

I prepared some garlic rice with mixed veggies (sweet corn, carrots, pear squash, bulb onion and garlic) cut into small cubes using our left over rice the previous night. I used the excess oil of the chicken tocino to make it more tasty, adding some seasoning to taste.

My niece and her boyfriend took care of the balloons while I was cooking.:)

Of course, the birthday cake will complement the occasion.

Unfortunately, our baby couldn't wear his tiger costume with hope that he can wear it by the weekend.

After setting the table, our pastor arrived on the dot. He read a passage from The Bible and made an elaboration saying that bearing a child comes in perfect timing through baby Jairus. He was the same pastor who initiated during the interment of their first born and he knew the ordeal the couple had gone through. The sumptuous meal was given justice with praises that it was like having a breakfast at some expensive hotel! Nevertheless, another preparation is scheduled for the weekenders.

It was a 3-hour ride. The road is a long one when you pass by La Carlota and La Castellana,

I took these photos while on the bus guys. The volcano is at the back view of Mt. Canlaon giving a perfect cone appearance but the front view overlooking Canlaon is a different one because you can see its big hole and the connecting twin mountain which is Mt. Makawiwili where mountain trekkers were allowed to take a closer look of the volcano but they're never allowed to go near the crater
