Happy Wednesday everyone! Christmas Season is in the air despite the turmoil caused by this pandemic. With coronavirus or not, the show must go on even on the smallest ways. There are still many things that we should be thankful of. One of which is the new year ahead of us but before that, let's celebrate the spirit of Christmas in one way or another. I am pretty sure that the non-Christians also have their own equivalents to this kind of thanksgiving as well. The most important thing is that we live harmoniously together despite our beliefs, culture and creed.

Well, it's time to unbox my stored Christmas decorations. With the kids away, I know it will never be the same again when we were complete in the family. Nevertheless, I see to it that those who are around, especially my grandkids, will still enjoy the spirit of Christmas.

In my case, I thought of recycling my Christmas decors instead of buying new items that would add to the beauty of my overcrowded Christmas Tree! Actually, I add bits n' pieces every time I see some goodies as well as the kids themselves. It's sort of souvenir of each year that we have.

For my new project, I got the smaller box where I kept the smaller items. I am thankful that I have separated them before because it made things easier for me as to where to find them. Hmmm. being a bit organized is advantageous, right? You know guys, I planned to make a Christmas wreath for my front door on the top portion. We don't have a mistletoe plant so I better make use of what I have in my box.

First, I cut an old wire for about 5 feet. I borrowed the reign of Santa's sleigh. :) The ribbon is like a hollow cord and fit for my planned cord.

Instead of wrapping the wire, I inserted the wire to the hollow ribbon.

I fold it in equal length then made the rick racks.

I selected the smaller items so that it won't be too heavy to hung. Those little white flowers, trumpets and angels were bought by me while my five kids had their own share to buy what they like. That made me free to pick what I want to be wrapped without knowing what's inside! I made little ribbons from the huge ribbons of our Christmas tree.

I attached each one on the arks of the twine.

I made a bouquet with bells and the twin angels.

There. I guess it will look good in the morning when I attach them.

I attached them the following morning. I am satisfied with how it looked like. Perhaps I will dig more stuffs later when I put up our Christmas tree.

Well, it may not look grand but it served the purpose and am happy with the result! I cannot help wipe my tears when we used to gather around the Christmas tree to put all those balls and ribbons and the blinking series lights. It's the cycle of life guys! Kids grow fast and when they're done, they fly to build their own nests too.

Thanking you all for dropping by and thanks to Asean Hive Community via @justinparke for having me here.

Till then,

@Sarimanok

Christmas can be a very wasteful time of year around the world. My family would always box up all of our decorations and re-use them year after year. At one point in time we started to buy a fake tree because is it really necessary for us to kill all of these trees every year in order to have a temporary decoration?

It is nice that you are doing this. Have a great day!

Indeed, it's a great waste for few days' celebration. In Mindanao where I grew up, we used to cut branches of our pine trees which was personally planted by our elders way back then during the 1940's. It's only a matter of changing the style and designs. Well, Antonia planned to do some paintings with the Christmas balls! It's their time now.:)
