Today kicked my ass - Lego and dunking Oreo's saved it!

I had one of those days today; You know the type where there's more to do than hours in the day and in which everything that could possibly go wrong in fact does. It felt like my work day hated me and wanted to make things as difficult as possible.

Work day - One

G-dog - Zero

Well played work day, well played.

I arrived home around 6pm and things started picking up quite quickly however; Within 30 minutes I was changed, ate some crackers and cheese, got in trouble from Faith because I ate cheese and crackers before dinner and was at my Lego bench pretending not to hear her rag me out over four crackers and cheeses. As if that could ever ruin burrito bowls, which we were having for dinner! Yum! Thanks wifey! (Please don't tell her I called her wifey if you ever run into her.)

Anyway, tonight was the first night old-mate Grouchy helped me build Lego. He's a little cobber (mate) of mine that hangs out with me, travels and pokes his nose into various adventures when he can. He's a legit dude, even if he likes the booze a little too much. I've posted recently so you can scroll back if you're inclined. It'll explain things more clearly.

You can see him pictured here helping put the rear differential and axle section of my latest build together. Just so you know, he always looks grouchy, which is fortuitous as his name is indeed Grouchy. Kind of makes sense really.

We got set up for stage two of the build then got called for dinner...Legit burrito bowls, but were back at it straight after...After cleaning up in the kitchen of course. OK, that was a lie, Faith did that. Did I say she's a legit wife? She really is!

Stage two is the middle stage of this build. The last one I did had seven stages but this set, with only 950 or so pieces, is a little smaller...Although quite technical.

I've stopped for a break after about 90 minutes of building...Currently writing this and dunking Oreo's in coffee...But hope to finish stage two tonight. I have to say, Grouchy already made one mistake, the dumb-ass, but I saved the day and rectified it.

OK OK, I made the bloody mistake. You happy now that I confessed.

Anyway, time marches on and I'd better get back to it...What was I saying? Oh yeah, I had a shitty day...It kicked my ass to be honest but...

Lego saved the day and turned my frown upside down.

Thanks Lego.

I better get back to it, Grouchy might make more mistakes...And the little bugger is eye-balling my last Oreo!

Have a great day, or night wherever you are y'all!

Great to see Grouchy working hard on those differentials with dad... getting some of that elbow grease. This is also the first time I noticed that Grouchy has Phillips head screws for ears. I imagine that's not a very good apparatus for hearing... is that why he's always so stubborn?

His grumpy grouch has certainly made my day! It's been a very long day... >>:-(

Yeah, he has some interesting ears huh? Lol.

I had a shocker at work today, was good to come home and build so Lego; It zones me out and makes things better. Was good to have the little guy on it too...He ate my last Oreo though!

Quite an interesting way to hear things! It's good to have some toys to play around with, like Legos, as a way to just cool off when you're having a bad day. Something about those colourful little blocks exciting your imagination, it's just fun.

And it's certainly better when you have a mate, too. I guess half an Oreo is the beginning of Grouchy's long list of future misdemeanors. Better watch out!

Old-mate Grouchy is a trouble-maker for sure and I think he will get up to many adventures, some of which will appear here on steem. He has a penchant for cheekyness...I mean look at that face, would you expect anything else?

Having some way to de-stress after a hard day is important. Glad you have one.

Pretty much all my days don't have enough hours in them XD And hey it could have been worse, you could have called her wai-FUUUUUUUUUUUU XD

Tell her I told you to tell her that she doesn't have to tell you off for eating directly before dinner, it's your own stupid fault if you can't fit in the delicious food afterwards ;D

Glad everything improved after you got home :)

I don't think it's that I may not be able to fit dinner in...I think she says it because she knows I'd be quote happy to eat two dinners! Lol.

Yeah, yesterday at work was forgettable and the day improved markedly when once I got home. Work was ok today so I'm back on track.

lol...those images are hilarious. What do you do since you don't drink out on the road, have the Missus have a keg waitin for you when you get home? lol.

What? No brain chip? But you'll be the dumbest guy in the room then! And think how handy that would be out on the road, you'd have your own GPS system in your head.

Hey who you callin dumb? lol. I may not be a farmer at the moment but you know what they say.."You can take the boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy."

Yeah I remember when they made a fantastic Super Bowl ad out of Paul Harvey's tribut to farmers, I loved it. Man, we gotta get you retired!

Bloomberg is so unlikeable and arrogant, he makes me ill.
