Monomad Challenge: "Buildings R Us"

avatar

Hello there!

It's been a while, I know. I apologise for the break in transmission as I had to take care of some "real-life" stuff. I'll gladly be sharing more photos with you all omce again from now :)

Today's post features random shots of building which I managed to steal as I passed by them. Sometimes I wish I lived in a huge city like New York or Tokyo where there are loads of tall buildings to behold. In the absence of jaw-dropping structures (at least I haven't seen one yet), I have to settle for the ones I can come accross.
Here are the photos I shot:

Here's a photo of a residential building on my street. It was a really sunny evening and I liked the way shadows were cast on the side of the building. The somewhat dramatic sky was neat as well.

Here's a photo of another residential building further down my street. This one is bigger than the earlier photo and accommodates more people. I tried to get the photo up close to achieve this angle and prioritise the pattern created by the building's features.

Here's a photo of my former workplace. I worked as an intern here for 3 months, it was a thrilling experience. The complex comprises of four towers about 11 stories tall. However, I wasn't able to get a clear shot of them from inside cause it's an official area and I didn't want to attract attention. If you look well, you can see the top of one of the towers far behind.

Here's another photo of my workplace from outside. Now you can clearly see the towers I wrote about above. I took this shot after work just before getting on a bus to head home. Also, on the far left you can see a tall structure under construction. Unfortunately I wasn't ablt to find out what the building was meant for but it looked cool anyways.

Architectural photography is fun and is something I don't mind doing from time to time. Though my photos aren't quite mind blowing and there aren't many structures that intruige me around to capture at the moment, I know someday when I'm able to travel the world I'd be able to do all that. Till then, those remain nothing but dreams.

Today's post is my entry for the #monomad challenge created by @brumest.

Thanks for coming around, hope to see you again!
