Hello everyone! This is my entry to the #monomad challenge!

Today I will take you for a walk around Can Mussol, a kind of 9th century monastery that today functions as a holistic center and is located in Spain, precisely in Catalonia, north of Barcelona.

Hola a todos! Esta es mi entrada al #monomad challenge!

Hoy los llevaré a pasear un momento por los alrededores de Can Mussol, una especie de monasterio del siglo IX que hoy funciona como centro holístico y que se encuentra en España, precisamente en Catalunya, al norte de Barcelona.

You can reach this place by train, and it takes about two hours.

Puedes llegar a este lugar en tren, y demoras alrededor de dos horas.

I had the pleasure of volunteering there as a Yoga teacher, and although it was the place with the most adverse conditions, it was also one of the most beautiful places I visited, as it was surrounded by nature and that made it a very calm space both inside and outside.

Tuve el placer de ser voluntaria allí como profesora de Yoga, y aunque fue el lugar con las condiciones más adversas, también fue uno de los lugares más hermosos que visité, ya que estaba rodeado de naturaleza y eso lo convertía en un espacio con mucha calma tanto dentro de ese espacio, como fuera.

I really enjoyed playing with black and white in these photos, as even though this place is literally in the middle of the countryside and surrounded by green (color photos are a dream too), just for the sake of trying, I started to move some to black and white, and I came across this won

Me gustó mucho jugar con el blanco y negro en estas fotos, ya que aunque este lugar se encuentra literalmente en el medio del campo y está rodeado de verde (las fotos a color son un sueño también), solo por intentar, empecé a pasar algunas a blanco y negro, y me encontré con esta maravilla.

The photos were taken at sunset, so on one side, you can see the hills against the light, although the sky was so clear that it stands out even in monochrome version. In addition, the play of grays makes an interesting game between mystery and suspense, and the peace that radiates from the place.

Las fotos fueron tomadas un atardecer, por eso de un lado, se ven los cerros a contraluz, aunque el cielo estaba tan despejado que se alcanza a destacar aún en versión monocromática. Además, el juego de grises hace un juego interesante entre el misterio y el suspenso, y la paz que irradia el lugar.

It is quite peculiar to look at these photos. I was going to add two in color, but the concept of the black and white shots is so different from what the same color photos express, that it took away the magic of the post, so I decided to make the whole post monochromatic.

Es bastante peculiar observar estas fotos. Iba a sumar dos a color, pero el concepto de las tomas en blanco y negro es tan diferente de lo que expresan las mismas fotos a color, que le quitaba la magia a la publicación, por lo que decidí hacer todo el post monocromático.

I played quite a bit also, as you can see, with the perspective of the sign that says "Yoga", not knowing that these photos would one day be published in black and white, and when I did the test, I loved it! In fact I like the black and white version even more.

Jugué bastante también, como pueden ver, con la perspectiva del cartel que dice "Yoga", sin saber que estas fotos un día serían publicadas en blanco y negro, y cuando hice la prueba, me encantó! De hecho la versión en blanco y negro me gusta todavía más.

At that moment, after I had taken a good shot (I had several!), I looked up at the sky to my left (it was the other side from where I had been photographing).

En aquel momento, después de haber hecho una buena toma de fotos (tenía varias!), miré al cielo que se encontraba a mi izquierda (era el otro lado de donde había estado fotografiando).

And what do you think? I came across this sort of cross formed in the air, and it was impossible to ignore it. I also like these shots better in monochromatic version.

Y qué creen? Me encontré con esta especie de cruz formada en el aire, y fue imposible ignorarla. Estas tomas también me gustan más en versión monocromática.
