This Is My Entry For The @monomad Challenge: "Diligent Hands"

Diligent Hands

This photo shows the strong, oiled hand from a hard-working Moroccan woman holding a bowl of argan oil.

Argan nuts are crushed with this stone press. The nuts are being thrown in the hole on the top. The upper part of the press is turned around in the circle by holding the wooden handle. The oil comes out squeezed pouring in the channel which has only one way out where it's dropping & being collected into a bowl.

The women, who are mainly working in this manufacture, often squeeze the argan paste which is left in the press to squeeze out the last drops of the precious oil whose properties are similar to the olive oil but more intensive! There are no industrial systems invented yet for producing argan oil & all the work is done manually.

Approximately 1 year ago I stepped on the African ground for the 1st time in my life. To visit Morocco was my wish for many years & I finally did it. I drove my Twingo for 3500-4000 km from Croatia to Morocco (& back, of course) & stayed there for a month. I really enjoyed being there & I met some amazing people & their archaic culture & preserved traditions. Argan oil is one of these traditions. Except in Morocco, I've heard that argan is grown in Algeria & Izrael but Morocco is the biggest producer.

My #cultureexchange #travelproject still lasts & it's being conducted by me personally! You can read more by clicking the following link: https://fundition.io/#!/@careassaktart/kv6b04cv6

I'm in the faze of writing texts & editing the photos to create a travel monograph & also editing the videos to create a documentary movie.
