Lucky bells

Kalanchoe Lucky Bells flowers bw 1.jpg

Lucky or not, they are definitely pretty.
This is Kalanchoe Lucky bells. Few years ago I saw this poor looking plant my mum had standing in one room. With a bunch of dried up flowers, dry soil... completely forgotten. But perfectly alive (they are hand to kill anyway).

I trimmed it, repotted and took some cuttings home.
Now this weed grows like crazy! It the tallest Kalanchoe I have and every year it produces tons of little babies. Some types grow little plantlets on the edges of their leaves and when they are big enough, they drop to the soil and start a new plant. Kalanchoe are often called Mother of thousands for a reason and it is not an exaggeration! Just imagine 10-20 little babies on each leaf. A stem with multiple leaves. A pot with multiple stems.

I often have to remove the little beasts from posts they don't belong to.

The flowers are large, red and stunning!
Additionally leaves have dark spots, which looks extra cool too.

So, is this a succulent? I don't generally think about succulents as having such pretty flowers, but you've been posting a bunch of them.

Yea it is :)
They are grown for the leaves mainly or because they don't need much care. But the flowers are quite nice too.
I have a bunch of them as they are the ones that can handle my very sunny and hot balcony.
