A Witness to other Times//MONOMAD CHALLENGE
Good Friday dear everyone in the Black And White Community 🙌📸
Recently, while photographing the station in my town, I also captured this old locomotive, which sits at the main railway station—the only one in town. It is a magnificent piece of heritage, still appearing powerful despite the rust on its metal and the marks left by the past. Little needs to be said about it; the silence surrounding it speaks louder than a thousand words. Once, this locomotive was a symbol of strength, movement, and new destinations; today, it proudly preserves memories of a bygone railway era. Some stories never truly vanish—they simply fall silent, wrapped in a past that still has a tale of its own to tell.
So, let's go see this Story together, but first

funny how a rusty locomotive parked at the only station in town still looks like it could pull out any minute. do you know when it was retired, or has it always just sat there as a monument?
The steam locomotive on display in front of the Sisak railway station (specifically model JŽ 22-101) ceased regular service during the 1970s and was placed at the Sisak railway station around 1998.
