Monomad - Playful Doodles on a Stone Wall

(Edited)

Hello, everyone!

I come across the #monomad challenge by @monochromes, thanks to Tito Ed (@tengolotodo) whose entry made me decide to participate too :)

The farmboy, an uncle, and I drove away from home one late afternoon last month to another town to attend to an aunt's wake. On our way, we came across a series of street arts that fascinated us. It was our first time to take that particular route and we never really expected to see things like that.

We were rushing a bit because we didn't want to be on the road when it gets dark but I was glad that the farmboy needed to clean the car's step board so he pulled over for a while when he noticed there was running water, and oh man, I was so glad that it happened to be on the spot where there were doodles! I didn't waste a minute and got out of the car, took the little chance I had to photograph some of them.

The place is called Bokod and here was a cute doodle of a wee police officer saluting, alongside it was a list of the place's emergency hotlines. Judging from the visible pencil lines, the artwork was recently done on the road's barrier.

Across the street was a stone wall filled with fun and colorful artwork. I rushed toward it and took some close-up shots and here's to share some.

This is something that reminds motorists to drive safely which I think is really cool.

And this particular doodle caught my attention too. The artist must be really playful. I wondered, why would someone say "drive safely" and then add something like this "stay crazy" on the mix?

Of course, it didn't really mean losing one's sanity. It basically meant not to be too serious in life and take time to have fun too. This actually reminded me of Tom and Jerry, lol!

And I guess the artist watches a little too much anime too, don't you think? Ahh, but whoever he was, his work is fun and so vivid too!

And I can't stop my mind from creating a story out of these two. I thought they were having an issue, lol! Just when I wanted to take more shots, I heard the husband calling from afar saying it was time to go.

I quickly tried to take a snap of the whole art on the wall then ran toward the car. I failed quite miserably to get a decent one and was feeling a little disappointed but the hubby said we will be taking our time the next day to take as many photos as possible. Unfortunately, he changed his mind and we took a different route the next day. But oh, well, at least I had these on my gallery :)

Here's to share the colored version for a view of how the artwork looked like :)

I love them, sis! So many classic cartoon characters and some not so much but soon to be, hehe like Perry, the platypus, he was one of my son's favorites, and I think he still has one around somewhere in his room, lol

Very cool, I think the art work looks pretty neat. Really lends itself well to monochrome.
