Hail to all you Hivers!

We are now settling into a groove on the Narrowboat, still learning but no longer feeling the need to cover big distance. It matters not. I have started to look for nice spots to stay a little earlier in the day. So if we start cruising before 10:30 i am happy to stop after 2:30-3pm and start scanning for a spot.

The boat coming round the conrer, in the image below was ahead of us earlier i the day as he helped me squeeze my little boat into a spot to top up my water tank at a water point. I asked if he'd stopped to eat as i didn't see how we could possibly have passed him. Indeed he had.

It's beautiful on the canals here in the UK as you can see, but it is also extremely friendly.

Makes me think of an aunt and her partner in the Netherlands, also doing this every year. They've also started again a few weeks ago. They only go on weekends though.

Ah... that's so nice to know...
Yes, in Amsterdam especially it's a thing to sail across the canals.

Do you have a GPS track of your trip? This is really cool. I'd love to see the distances covered. Keep up the great work.. !BEER Time

Yup sometimes i use my Garmin Watch to track us. I have used it on some of my posts i think. I get so relaxed i forget to wear the watch most days. I will try and do a bit more of that. Glad you enjoyed it. This lifestyle is so different but very rewarding
