Last Flight of the @scubahead - Monomad Challenge

Hail to the Hive!

Today I took my last flight in my friend @iamyohann's gyrocopter. I love this machine, it's amazing and has provided me with probably some of my best memories of the Philippines.

@iamyohann and myself have spent many hours flying over tropical islands, looking for waterfalls from the sky and of course our epic flight over a Volcano, Mt Kanlaon, in Negros. That will live with me forever.

Being in an open cockpit in the sky is an experience like no other and I will miss it way more than diving here and that's a fact.

I hope I get to experience it again sometime but mostly would prefer to be flying with my friend @iamyohann as there's something special about pottering around in the sky with a friend just chatting about the stuff you see and deciding where to go next. When do you ever get to do stuff like that in your life. Good times. Special times.

Ohhhhh, shit. I get it.

One of my best friends ever had a couple of planes. His most prized and the one he owned the longest was a 1957 Cesna 172 (second year), a genuine volkswagen with wings. We spent hours flying low and slow over much of eastern Washington state often looking for abandoned/wrecked classic cars.

I'm sorry you're leaving it for now. I'm guessing it'll come back to you somehow.

well I am leaving the Philippines in a few weeks who knows if I'll be back ( probably not ). But we have a whole new type of fun lined up. Probably be posting about it in less than 3 weeks :)
