I have being learning quite a lot on hive this past few weeks. A lot of people are so willing for help out to answer your questions and all, so lovely to see. I have so realized that I need nifty fifty prime lens because of my portraits and also because it seems my shots are sometimes blurry even after checking everything. This set of photos I am still going through the previous shoot and I still have over three sets of pictures I haven't shared so stay tuned.

I actually am caught between two minds. Choosing either the colored version or this black and white one. Her dress is very bright and interesting, beautifully done. She has the warmest smile too. What do you think though?

it's possible to see all these colors through your black and white

Without seeing the color version of these, I would say the black and white is probably better. If her dress is super colorful, it could compete with her smile, which is awesome and a great focal point. You don't want your eyes to wander to other spots in the photo by having too much going on.

You're actually right. I tried the colors and I seem to look at the dress more than her face.

I appreciate your feedback and you stopping by Wes.

Cheers.

Her smile dragged me here :) Definitely has a warm one.

I might have zero experience as a photographer but my love for black and white would choose these over the coloured ones if her dress was very bright.
