Low-light captures on the move

It is so challenging to take photos while riding a vehicle.

Sometimes we have to cover huge distances in shorter time and quick stops are not an option. It's a shame when passing by beautiful places and lacking the proper time.

That's one area where phone cameras still lack the ability to even get close to DSLR cameras, designed and manufactured more then ten years ago. ;)

Still, a lot of things to compromise on... The balance of the high ISO and shutter speed and the quality of the image. Especially with situations with low light. Usually, with values of ISO greater than 1600, the granularity of the images becomes an issue and picture noise has to be threated with a lot of attention.

All the travel pictures below, I have taken from a moving bus. ISO values of all of them are greater than 6400. Far from ideal, but otherwise I would have totally missed to create those personal visual memories...

Was it worth it?

From my personal point of view, yes.

Probably those are pictures that I am never going to see sold through my usual "middle-man" photo web services... It doesn't matter to me. The memory is still here with me! :)

The photos are looking great for me, despite being captured on a moving vehicle.

Oh, I can talk a lot about traveling or driving and trying or not being able to stop the car to take pictures. 😄 Even in my last post I mentioned about it.
As for the photo quality, since I learned how to take photos with a phone, I've also learned to compromise quality at the expense of being able to capture the moment.

Agreed! Capturing the moment is much more important than having some captures with perfect quality an no message! :)

Wow, I didn't expect from a pro to say that 😁 I can imagine how you make every detail of your photos perfect. My way and occasion for photography has completely changed over the years, but that's another topic.
Cheers to photography because it's the most important thing, no matter what 🥂
