TITOLO POST STEEMIT FICO.jpg

It was August 14 and I finally managed to persuade my brother to go on a hike.

The weather did not promise anything good but in the end we got into the car and reached Pove del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza.

ITA

IMG_0906.jpg

We parked right at the beginning of the Stonemasons' Path. The path was used to reach a place full of stones that were used for the construction of the buildings in the town.

ITA

IMG_0907.jpg

As if by magic the sky had become clear, so without wasting time we set off.

ITA

Come per magia il cielo era diventato sereno, così senza perdere tempo ci siamo incamminati.

IMG_0908.jpg

The path immersed in the green of the vegetation, was all uphill and presented some rough sections.

ITA

IMG_0914.jpg

IMG_0915.jpg

The bottom is a bit annoying because it is all made of sharp stones.

Surely it is to be traveled with trekking boots, as we did.

ITA

IMG_0916.jpg

Given the tiring climb I had decided to stop and take a picture of myself...a bit saddened to see this picture because my glasses were still intact...in the last excursion I did I broke them!

ITA

IMG_0917.jpg

IMG_0921.jpg

IMG_0922.jpg

Finally we reached a nice panoramic point where to take a break, there was also a votive chapel there...

ITA

IMG_0923.jpg

The view was gorgeous but since I only had my old smartphone with me, the photo didn't turn out very well.

ITA

IMG_0925.jpg

IMG_0928.jpg

A few meters away there was a wooden structure where we could eat our sandwiches.

ITA

A qualche metro c'era una struttura di legno dove poter mangiare i nostri panini.

IMG_0930.jpg

IMG_0931.jpg

IMG_0934.jpg

The salami sandwich never disappoints!

I invite you to taste the Italian salami made on the farm!

ITA

IMG_0937.jpg

After we got fed, we continued the walk...

ITA

Dopo esserci sfamati, abbimo continuato la camminata...

IMG_0938.jpg

IMG_0939.jpg

IMG_0940.jpg

The path was narrower and without bothersome stones.
To the left was the mountain, to the right the cliff.

ITA

IMG_0943.jpg

IMG_0947.jpg

IMG_0948.jpg

Some points offered a truly impressive view!

ITA

Alcuni punti offrivano una vista davvero suggestiva!

IMG_0950.jpg

IMG_0952.jpg

Excuse me...I think this is the only obviously crooked photo I took in my life and not on purpose! :D

ITA

IMG_0953.jpg

IMG_0956.jpg

IMG_0959.jpg

IMG_0961.jpg

Here is Riccardo forced to pose for the post! :D

ITA

IMG_0963.jpg

IMG_0964.jpg

Then the trail began to go downhill.

Some stretches were full of massed stones...That's why they came here to get them, there were many.

ITA

IMG_0967.jpg

The sky was clouding over again so we accelerated our pace so as not to risk catching rain.

ITA

IMG_0969.jpg

IMG_0970.jpg

IMG_0971.jpg

Look at how many stones!

ITA

Guardate quante pietre!

IMG_0973.jpg

IMG_0975.jpg

IMG_0976.jpg

We were now safe and the weather had spared us!

ITA

Ormai eravamo salvi e la meteo ci aveva risparmiati!

IMG_0984.jpg

And before reaching the car, one last photo to witness the feat was a must!

ITA

IMG_0985.jpg

I hope you enjoyed this excursion and that it is a good omen to return soon to go hiking in complete freedom!

See you soon!

ITA

A presto!
