Recensione Libro: A libro aperto

avatar

Notevole e necessario.

They are dense pages, of real and lived life, of books. Intimate pages are those of Recalcati, who through his words and those of his masters who forged him, tells us about himself but also about us. Of all of us, more or less omnivorous readers, more or less passionate, who recognize ourselves, read, discover each other in books, and who allow ourselves to be read, invaded, (un) hit and upset by books.

With only one mission: to discover the truth behind things to give them meaning, to bring it to light and therefore to life. 'A book open' is a metal book, an apology for reading and therefore for the book: that microcosm that encompasses all the laws that regulate life, passions and encounters.

Recalcati's text is full of ideas, links, connections and suggestions. An ode to the book which, however, is not seen as a tool that consumes or exhausts life, nor that you can or want to replace it but which is an integral part of it and a starting point for learning to read and decode it. To find a meaning in the interlines and spacings, in that unspoken, in that void which instead is the cut through which the light enters. Recalcati gives us a confession that is the story of a process of formation - his and, by analogy, ours too - which passes through real and paper meetings.

Important appointments, significant imprinting capable of forging a man and lighting in each one that fire to be preserved and handed down that makes us recognizable and keeps us alive and human.

A book open is a book to read and reread. Remarkable and necessary.
