English version

A beautiful season like this spring, after a long winter. There were days of fear, and insecurity caused by the earthquake (november 2019), then Covid. But in the end the sun shines and spring makes its cycle. Third part of this chapter in Albania will also bring political, economic and even social changes for its citizens, above all in the way of governing the country.

Albanians vote this Sunday and the situation seems to be calm, much calmer than usual. Apparently there will be a smooth shift of power, and eventually decide to change. The economy will be the pillar of the Democratic Party with its flat tax. They are focused on investments, fight of the corruption and reinforce of law institutions, but there is a lot to do to get a good result.

The socialists of Rama seem to have now reached the end of their journey of these 8 years, put to the test, first by the earthquake, then by the epidemic. For Albania is time to change, first of all in the way of governing.

Albania breathes. Institutionally, there is a lot to do for respect of law, but this path is obviously much closer to European standards than the previous one. The slogan: Albania wins of the opposition, means that we'll start with the right foot, first of all to be open for everyone who love the country.

the Vetting has changed the face of many institutions, it has been successful over the years, but the fight against corruption in Albania is not won so quickly, and this country's need to have people capable of having their own professional integrity, especially judges.

All those who think they can do better than the previous one will have a unique challenge. To stop the emigration of young graduates who always push to go abroad. Meeting point for all is Germany. Bringing back the climate of trust in this country will not be easy, especially if we start with the same mentality. The lack of meritocracy encourage delusions and immigration, so we need to start from this change. The professionals will be the ones who will resurrect the new age, which must be ruled above all by the principles of democracy.

Versione italiana

Having written to you for the first time, on your introductory post, I have time only to read this one other post of yours @doriana. It caught my eye, as topics of interest to me are politics, religion, and investing.

Were you encouraged by the outcome of this election? Does it give you a greater sense of hope and optimism for your future?

In Albania we are living an interesting part of politics history. We are doing juridical reforms and new institutions. It means we are passing from old system to a new one. It has to be done, i guess because of fact that albanian young people are going abroad for study. The corruption is a good problem, here.

Very sorry to read this @doriana ...

"The corruption is a good problem, here."

... but not surprising. Corruption seems to be a universal problem. In my lifetime, I have watched it become far more of a problem here than it used to be. A very sad state of affairs. Particularly for my children and grandchildren ...

"We are doing juridical reforms and new institutions."

I hope your people will have the courage and will to face the corruption squarely and deal with it successfully. Here in America, the courage and the will to deal with it seems to be fading away ...
