Tornai in cucina e rimasi a bocca aperta.

One evening Luca goes down to take out the garbage, but when he tries to return to his house, on the 20th floor of a suburban building, he discovers that another person lives in his apartment and that his life, as it was until some moment before, it no longer exists. From this moment on, new and unexpected adventures begin for Luca, which mix with the memories of his old life.

The hotel

Mrs Brocca seemed almost happy to have found a sparrow with a broken wing to be treated and put back on his feet, she had already forgotten that I could be a thief.
I stayed in the bathroom for a long time, so much so that at one point the lady came knocking worried and she told me that the pasta was almost ready. Finally, in that unfamiliar bathroom, I gave myself a good freshen up, recovered a bit.
Of course with that jumpsuit and those slippers I looked really unkempt. Meanwhile, hunger, perhaps triggered by the possibility of eating, was knocking on the doors of my stomach. When the lady called me worried I gave myself a last look in the mirror, I felt a little better and all in all my nose was fine, I didn't want to have the man's one that was in the middle of Aldo's face.
""I'm coming madam, I'm hungry!""
I went back to the kitchen and gasped.
Mrs Brocca had put the tablecloth, poured the wine into a jug, placed two glasses, prepared a bowl and a smooth plate under it. Fork, knife, a saucer with a few slices of cooked ham, I think in her mind it was the appetizer, perhaps the only thing she had in the house.
Water was boiling in a large pot on the stove and something was frying in a saucepan.
“I don't have tomato, I made the sauce with butter and tomato paste. Excuse me but I wasn't expecting anyone. ""
She was sorry, no one ever came to see her and now she was making a bad impression, poor woman, I was sorry to see her sorry, but I was overwhelmed by hunger and I pounced on the ham.
""But imagine madam! Your sauce with concentrate will certainly be better than mine with tomato. ""
I began to devour the ham which I finished in seconds, then poured myself a nice glass of wine. I swallowed it all, even though it was really bad quality.
""Taste, taste if the pasta is cooked."" I had to try a spaghetti, it was overcooked.
""Perfect lady, do you want me to drain it?""
The lady gave me the pot holders, if you don't want to burn yourself, I drained my pasta, dressed it with the lady's sauce and sat down to eat.
The pasta was overcooked and the sauce was disgusting, but with the hunger I had it all seemed very good.
Hunger is always the best cook.
The lady watched me eat without saying a word, she seemed satisfied with the party I was having at her dinner for her gala.
So much for the lawyer, I thought.
