Come convertire STEEM in HIVE utilizzando Hive Engine / How to convert STEEM to HIVE using Hive Engine (ITA/ENG)

Hive Engine è funzionante e operativo!
Ci sono ancora pochi token rispetto alla controparte su Steem ma penso sia solo una questione di tempo.
In questo post vi mostrerò come scambiare STEEM per HIVE senza passare per gli exchange esterni ma utilizzando solo Hive Engine.
Calcolerò anche il costo totale dell'operazione di conversione.

SWAP.STEEM
Per convertire i tuoi STEEM in HIVE devi acquistare dei token su Hive Engine che si chiamano SWAP.STEEM .
Ti mostro tutti i passaggi da seguire.
1. Accedi al tuo wallet su Steem.
Nota: Io uso la sezione wallet del front end di https://steempeak.com/
2. Invia il quantitativo di STEEM che vuoi convertire in HIVE all'account @graphene-swap ricordandoti di inserire nel MEMO:
la scritta SWAP.STEEM seguita dal nome del tuo account senza il simbolo @
Io ad esempio ho inserito nel MEMO
Io ho cliccato sul bottone SEND da https://steempeak.com/@libertycrypto27/transfers
Nella schermata successiva ho inserito tutti i dati richiesti.
3. Una volta che hai inviato il quantitativo di STEEM che desideri convertire non devi far altro che aspettare che ti arrivino i token SWAP.STEEM sul tuo Wallet di Hive Engine.
Io ho inviato 1 STEEM e dopo pochi minuti ho ricevuto sul mio Wallet di Hive Engine 0.99 SWAP.STEEM.
4. Ovviamente gli SWAP.STEEM non sono HIVE e quindi il prossimo passaggio è venderli in cambio di HIVE.
Per farlo basta cliccare sul simbolo delle due freccette.
5. Nella schermata successiva devi (1) selezionare il prezzo maggiore (Highest Bid) indicato nella colonna Buy Orders, (2) devi inserire il quantitativo di SWAP.STEEM che vuoi vendere e (3) devi cliccare su Sell SWAP.STEEM.
Io ad esempio ho inserito i dati che vedi nell'immagine seguente:
6. Una volta che hai venduto gli SWAP.STEEM, sul Wallet troverai un certo quantitativo di SWAP.HIVE
L'ultimo passaggio consiste nel cliccare sul bottone WITHDRAW come indicato dalla freccia nell'immagine successiva.
7. Nella schermata successiva devi inserire l'ammontare degli HIVE che vuoi trasferire sul tuo Wallet su Hive e cliccare su WITHDRAW HIVE
Ti faccio notare che Hive Engine trattiene l'1% per ogni operazione di deposito e prelievo e per questo sul tuo Wallet arriveranno 1.333 HIVE.
Conviene usare Hive Engine?
Per rispondere a questa domanda dobbiamo fare un pò di calcoli.
Nel momento in cui scrivo questo post i valori di STEEM e HIVE sono rispettivamente 0.154 $ e 0.107 $.
Secondo questi valori una conversione diretta (senza fee) permetterebbe di scambiare 1 STEEM per 1.4393 HIVE.
Utilizzando Hive Engine da 1 STEEM otteniamo 1.333 HIVE
Quanto ci costa la conversione?
Il costo totale della conversione è del 7.38%
Questa percentuale corrisponde alla vendita degli SWAP.STEEM alla più alta offerta di acquisto (BID price) nel momento in cui ho scritto questo post al netto del totale delle fee pagate.
Ovviamente la percentuale si abbassa se piazziamo un ordine di vendita non a 1.36 ma a 1.40 ad esempio e se il nostro ordine viene abbinato.
Conclusione
Il costo in percentuale è abbastanza alto ma potrebbe dipendere anche dal fatto che Hive Engine è nato da poco ed è ancora poco utilizzato.
Hive Engine o Steem Engine?
Per convertire STEEM in HIVE puoi usare invece di Hive Engine anche Steem Engine e la procedura è leggermente più snella e il costo, almeno in questo momento, è molto più conveniente.

In un modo o nell'altro spero che questo post sia utile e possa aiutare:
- chi è nuovo su Hive o non ha dimestichezza con Hive Engine / Steem Engine
- chi non è iscritto a nessun exchange esterno e ha necessità di convertire STEEM in HIVE
Sarebbe interessante e utile per tutti se chi utilizza exchange diversi scrivesse la percentuale di fee che ha pagato nell'operazione di conversione in modo da avere un indicazione sul modo/strumento meno dispendioso per convertire STEEM in HIVE.
How to convert STEEM to HIVE using Hive Engine
Hello friends,
Hive Engine is up and running!
There are still few tokens compared to the counterpart on Steem but I think it's just a matter of time.
In this post I will show you how to exchange STEEM for HIVE without going through external exchanges but using only Hive Engine.
I will also calculate the total cost of the conversion operation.

SWAP.STEEM
To convert your STEEMs to HIVE you need to buy tokens on Hive Engine called SWAP.STEEM.
I show you all the steps to follow.
1. Access your wallet on Steem.
Note: I use the wallet section of the front end of https://steempeak.com/
2. Send the quantity of STEEM you want to convert to HIVE to the @graphene-swap account remembering to insert in MEMO:
SWAP.STEEM followed by your account name without the symbol @
For example, I wrote in MEMO
I clicked on the SEND button from https://steempeak.com/@libertycrypto27/transfers
In the next screen I entered all the required data.
3. Once you have sent the quantity of STEEM you want to convert, all you have to do is wait for the SWAP.STEEM tokens to arrive on your Wallet of Hive Engine.
I sent 1 STEEM and after a few minutes I received on my Hive Engine Wallet 0.99 SWAP.STEEM.
4. Obviously SWAP.STEEM are not HIVE and therefore the next step is to sell them in exchange for HIVE.
To do this, just click on the symbol of the two arrows as shown in the following image.
5. In the next screen you must (1) select the highest price (Highest Bid) indicated in the column Buy Orders, (2) you must enter the quantity of SWAP.STEEM you want to sell and (3) you have to click on Sell SWAP.STEEM.
For example, I entered the data you see in the following image:
6. Once you have sold SWAP.STEEM, on the Wallet you will find a certain amount of SWAP.HIVE
The last step is to click on the ** WITHDRAW ** button as indicated by the arrow in the next image.
7. In the next screen you must enter the amount of HIVE that you want to transfer to your Wallet on Hive and click on WITHDRAW HIVE
Please note that Hive Engine retains 1% for each deposit and withdrawal transaction and 1,333 HIVE will arrive on your Wallet.
Is it economically convenient to use Hive Engine?
To answer this question we have to do some calculations.
At the time of writing this post the values of STEEM and HIVE are 0.154 $ and 0.107 $ respectively.
According to these values, a direct conversion (without fee) would allow you to exchange 1 STEEM for 1.4393 HIVE.
Using Hive Engine, from 1 STEEM we get 1,333 HIVE
How much does the conversion cost us?
The total cost of the conversion is 7.38%
This percentage corresponds to the sale of SWAP.STEEM at the highest purchase offer (BID price) at the time I wrote this post net of the total fees paid.
Obviously the percentage is lowered if we place a sales order not to 1.36 but to 1.40 for example and if our order is combined.
Conclusion
The cost in percentage is quite high but it could also depend on the fact that Hive Engine was born recently and is still underused.
In one way or another I hope this post is useful and can help:
- those who are new to Hive or are unfamiliar with Hive Engine / Steem Engine
- those who are not registered on any external exchange and need to convert STEEM to HIVE
It would be interesting and useful for everyone if those who use different exchanges wrote the percentage of fees they paid in the conversion operation in order to have an indication on the least expensive way / tool to convert STEEM to HIVE.

Effettivamente i volumi non sono altissimi.
Io ho provato anche tramite Steem-engine. Su Bittrex ormai c'è molto più movimento... e anche Ionomy non è male.

Su Bittrex trovi molto più movimento e un sacco di trading pairs. Lo uso da anni e non ho mai avuto problemi.
Ionomy, se non erro è abbastanza nuovo come exchange.

una volta che hai i steemp compri i hivep e poi fai withdraw degli hive.
il bello di steem-engine è che puoi anche ritirare direttamete btc o altre crypto disponibili sul sito, alla stessa maniera!!
Comunque non capisco perchè ti viene fuori 7.38%
Io trasferisco steem -1% poi ritiro hive altro -1% ...forse hai mischiato le percentuali, tieni conto che nel market non compri necessariamente al reale valore dei coin in questione
edit: ho capito perchè... Hai comprato i swap a 1.36 quando invece dovevano stare a 1.43
ecco perchè tutta questa discrepanza..infatti la differenza tra 1.36 e 1.43 è circa del 5%.
E si arriva a 7% con le 2 fee fisse dell' 1%
edit 2: ho controllato ora su steem-engine li la discrepanza è davvero minima (per lo meno adesso)
Esatto @lallo, il problema è nel passaggio SWAP.STEEM SWAP.HIVE e soprattutto è che Hive Engine è ancora usato poco e gli ordini di acquisto sono bassi come valore ma penso che con il tempo si allineerà con Steem Engine.
In questo post ho voluto far vedere come cambiare STEEM solo utilizzando Hive Engine ma come hai ben detto tu al momento è molto più semplice e conveniente Steem Engine.
Infatti domani toccherà a Steem engine e al confronto con la sorellina appena nata ;)
Tu usi anche altri strumenti? Sto approfondendo il discorso sui vari exchanges e mi interessa conoscere le varie esperienze.

Io prima per vendere gli Steem usavo Blocktrades ma.............
Quindi ho trovato una soluzione al problema con steem-engine. Continuo ad usare blocktrades con gli hive.
Finchè posso usare strumenti dove non devo dare i miei dati personali, uso quelli ;)
E poi di dare l'1% a aggroed non mi scoccia affatto, perchè penso che se li meriti per il servizio che offre.

Ora ti faccio una bella domanda, mi è arrivato un piccolo premio di delegazione su hive...ma non ricordo a chi ho delegato cosa o addirittura per sbaglio, come posso vedere tutto ciò, per esempio con Steemit c'era steemd ma su peakd come faccio a risalire?

I used this as a tutorial to do it but I see now after 13 days of not getting on a laptop that I didnt get the steem sent to hiveengine. I see that I didnt leave a space in between SWAP.STEEM movingman, would this make it void?
