HODLers Don't Like to HODL This!

भारत से नमस्ते!

🙏
Namaste from Bharat!

Not everything in this world is meant to be HODLed. There are things, we need to let go!

Yesterday, Hive Torch was changing hands in HODL Community. Fortunately, I'm also one of the over 500 members of this community of HODLers. So somehow this Hive Torch got passed on to me. (Thank you, @vlemon for entrusting this Torch to this poor guy. I'm honoured!)

Hive Torch has set a target to pass through 333 hands before reaching its final destination. I became the 93rd proud bearer of this Torch.

Considering that HODL community is over 500 strong, we as a community could have HODLed this Torch until it achieve its target but I immediately passed it on to some other Hiver.

You know why?

Just to prove a point that HODLers know, not everything in this world is meant to be HODLed.
We're HODLers by choice because we know exactly what needs to be HODLed along.

For last two days I was a little over occupied with some work. Yet when the Torch was passed on to me, I immediately reached to my wallet to pass it forward.

But to whom should I pass?

Whether it's a Bitcoin Lightening Torch or Steem Torch, all these campaigns insist to hand over the torch to some one trusted and reliable. I wanted to prove a point that Hive community is different and need no such criteria. Our community is well kntted and inter-connected in this giant hive where values like trust & reliability are in everyone's genes. So we don't need to evaluate people for it.

So I considered following things for the next Torch bearer:

  1. No one from HODL community. (Passing Torch to HODL community proved that Hive colony have full faith that HODLers won't HODL the Torch at least 😀. I wanted to keep their faith alive by passing it out 😅)
  2. It should be someone on whom I don't trust or have least faith in.
  3. Shouldn't be my close friend. Better still if someone is among the worst of my enemies
  4. One who is too busy to care for passing the Hive Torch forward.
  5. Receipient should get it in middle of the night 😛. (Torches are meant for night, you know!)
  6. Poor people are often considered honest and reliable. (See, I honestly passed on the Torch without deducting any amonunt out of it). So this time, I wanted to hand it over to some rich person.

If this Torch still survives all these tests, it will prove the strength & resilience of Hive community and add UNSTOPPABLE attribute to this HIVE TORCH.

As soon as I finalized all these parameters, the first name that sprung to my mind became the recipient of this Torch.
(No offence is meant @nainaztengra! 😜)

Hive Torch came from Europe to Bharat.
Bharat has sent it with all its love & respect to Oman.

Sorry, I was somewhat busy and couldn't post about it yesterday but the Unstoppable Torch is continuing her journey as ever.

अलविदा मशाल!
