Amazing Insect: The Robber Fly

Apparently, the term robber is not only synonymous with humans, but also attached to animals. The robber fly is known as the terrible assassin fly among insects.

Having the scientific name Asilidae, the robber fly is characterized by two large compound eyes, thick mustache that covers its mouth and thick beard that grows on its neck. In addition, it has a short, strong trunk, which serves as a weapon for killing and as a sucker.

With its sharp trunk, it could even kill a dragonfly or grasshopper that was bigger than it. A wasp who is notorious for being vicious can not move slightly when dealing with the robber fly. Amazing insects!
