Today, the spring equinox starts. What does this mean? That the day will have a duration very similar to the night in all points of the earth. The word "equinox" comes from the Latin "aequinoctium", which means "equal night". Today, all points of the earth will receive equal amounts of light during the day. The sun connects the entire planet.
However, in quarantined life, it is difficult to know when the sun rises and when it sets. My sleep schedule has drastically changed: I get up very late and sleep very late. Not to mention the schedule of my daughters.

So I created this little illustration. I have decided to leave the blinds open (which I never do) just to know that it is daytime, but for the first time, the light has not awakened me, the quarantine has disrupted everything.

The spring equinox caught me in quarantine; the dawn caught me wrapped in sheets until very late.

Hoy arranca el equinoccio de primavera. ¿Qué significa esto? Que el día tendrá una duración muy similar al de la noche en todos los puntos de la tierra. La palabra "equinoccio" proviene del latín "aequinoctium", que significa "igual noche". El día de hoy, todos los puntos de la tierra recibirán igual cantidad de luz durante el día. El sol conecta al planeta entero.
Sin embargo, llevando la vida en cuarentena, es difícil saber cuando sale el sol y cuando se oculta. Mi horario de sueño ha cambiado drásticamente: me levanto muy tarde y me duermo muy tarde. Ni hablar del horario de mis hijas.

Así he creado ésta pequeña ilustración. He decidido dejar las persianas abiertas (cosa que jamás hago) solo para saber que es de día, pero por primera vez, la luz no me ha despertado, la cuarentena ha trastocado todo.

El equinoccio de primavera me agarró en cuarentena; el amanecer me descubrió envuelta entre sábanas hasta muy tarde.
