Today we are crossing one of the bridges in Brugg located 30 km from Zurich at the confluence of the three rivers Reuss, Limmat and Aare. Brugg is the Swiss German word for bridge.

This suspension bridge is something very special. Already in1875 was built the railroad bridge with a suspension bridge integrated underneath. In the meantime, this railroad bridge was almost completely renovated several times. But what has remained more or less the same are the 4 huge bridge piers of limestone.

This bridge is not only beautiful, it is also very useful and popular for hikers and especially for local walkers but also bikers with his fantastic view of the beautiful Aare river.
