Cambios y metas | Changes and goals

¿No les ha pasado que se plantean a finales de año un montón de metas y a lo largo del mismo las van dejando? A mí me pasó mucho tiempo y realmente quería que este año fuese diferente.

Creo que muchas veces dejamos a un lado nuestras responsabilidades para culpar a los demás de lo que nos pasa y siempre tenemos la excusa perfecta, "yo quería pero es que él/ella...". Sin embargo, aunque otras personas puedan influir en nuestra vida, la verdad es que quién tiene las riendas de la misma no es nadie más sino tú mismo.

A finales del año pasado yo pensaba, el 2021 será el mejor año, no importa que haya pandemia, no importa que la situación no esté tan fácil. Si algo me enseñó la cuarentena es que las oportunidades existen.

Has it happened to you that you set a lot of goals at the end of the year and throughout the year you leave them behind? It happened to me for a long time and I really want this year to be different.

I think that many times we put aside our responsibilities to blame others for what happens to us and we always have the perfect excuse, "I wanted to but he/she...". However, although other people can influence our life, the truth is that who has the reins of it is no one else but yourself.

At the end of last year I was thinking, 2021 will be the best year, no matter if there is a pandemic, no matter if the situation is not so easy. If the quarantine taught me anything, it is that opportunities exist.

Es por ello que este año responsablemente he empezado una serie de cambios importantes en mi vida, he tomado decisiones firmes y concretas en pro a lo que deseo alcanzar tanto a nivel personal como profesional. A finales del 2021 espero haber cumplido la mayoría de las metas (o todas), que me propuse.

Algunas personas se quejan de que no hay oportunidades, que si hubiese otro gobierno todo sería mejor, que si estuviera en otro país todo sería mejor, que si su familia fuese adinerada todo sería mejor. Pero, mientras esas personas se están quejando, hay otro grupo que está emprendiendo, innovando, quizás no con un capital muy grande, pero con la motivación necesaria están trabajando por sus sueños. No es que sea un camino fácil, pero es algo digno de admirar.

That is why this year I have responsibly started a series of important changes in my life, I have made firm and concrete decisions in favor of what I want to achieve both personally and professionally. By the end of 2021 I hope to have accomplished most (or all) of the goals I set for myself.

Some people complain that there are no opportunities, that if there were another government everything would be better, that if they were in another country everything would be better, that if their family were wealthy everything would be better. But, while those people are complaining, there is another group that is undertaking, innovating, maybe not with a very big capital, but with the necessary motivation they are working for their dreams. It is not an easy path, but it is something to admire.

En mi caso, tengo 23 años actualmente, estoy próxima a culminar mi carrera universitaria, tengo un trabajo y estoy buscando la forma de generar otros ingresos. La verdad, cuando tenga 40 años no pretendo estar culpando a nadie por lo que hice o no hice en mi juventud, puesto que mi vida está en mis manos.

En Venezuela aún hay muchas oportunidades y lo puedo ver cada vez que voy a un negocio en la calle, cuando veo las diferentes tiendas que hay en Instagram. Dinero hay, solo hay que buscarlo, y más en esta momento que incluso podemos generar dinero a través de internet.

In my case, I am currently 23 years old, I am about to finish my university degree, I have a job and I am looking for a way to generate other income. The truth is that when I am 40 years old I do not intend to blame anyone for what I did or did not do in my youth, since my life is in my hands.

In Venezuela there are still many opportunities and I can see it every time I go to a business on the street, when I see the different stores that are on Instagram. There is money, you just have to look for it, and even more in this moment that we can even generate money through the internet.
