It Turns Out That This Black Ants Can Damage Plants

Hi everyone, today I took photos of one type ant that is often seen among us. Usually, ants like this are often found in bushes or in fields.

In general, ants are a type of small insect known as a social insect of the nation's Formicidae tribe from Hymenoptera. Ants including insects that have many types and most live in tropical climates. Also, even though the ant's body is relatively small, it can lift or carry heavy loads.

In Indonesia, this ant is famous for black ants. From the photo that I shared, it can be seen that the black ants have a shiny appearance and match its name because it is black. Black ants have the same life cycle as another ant in general.

Besides, the Indonesian people consider these black ants as a nuisance insect that likes to steal food in the kitchen and trash, so it is considered dangerous to health. Not only that, but it turns out these black ants can also damage plants by eating flowers until they run out so that plants affected by black ants can no longer bear fruit.

From the photos below we can see how black ants damage the flowers of plants. Initially, the black ants suck the starch extract from the flowers of the plants together until they run out, then the flowers are eaten and the plants die slowly.
