Here is my entry for @psos music challenge, today i'm on bands or songs starting with the letter O.

Tonight I am continuing the a to z music challenge and have reached the letter O. For those who don't know @psos started a challenge where you list two songs daily this can be either the band name or song title, starting at A and finishing at Z, remember to add a few words about your choice.

So my first choice is a English electronic band who were one of the biggest names in the rave scene. Brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll are from Essex and instantly were a hit with the underground scene with there first single release, the track was recorded in their family home in a small cupboard under the stairs using their fathers tape recorder.

Avid rave attenders they like myself would travel around the south of the UK finding parties, the band named themselves Orbital after the M25 motorway also known as the London orbital, this was often the route that ravers would use, meeting up in service stations until word got out as to where the latest party was happening, I have found myself in many convoys of cars occasionally hundreds on a mystery tour, it was a crazy time and I loved every minute of it. Orbital - "Chime"

For my second choice we are going back in time to the days of Disco, this dance /soul band from New York had minor success in the USA but when they exported their sound to the UK they had hit after hit. In the late 70's early 80's achieving many high entries into the music charts including a Number one smash  "Use It Up and Wear It Out". With the UK audience appreciating their music much more than their homeland the band relocated to live in the UK. The song ends with some lyrics that I have never know the meaning so if anyone can help It would be great to know.
