Love is one amazing feeling one can have...a beautiful feeling that gives twinkling star lights in your heart and music to your ears. I always wanted to feel that way...fall in love and get carried away with the thoughts of being able to do anything for the one I love without thinking twice and he doing the same for me.

When I was younger, I believed I must have without a doubt that I can meet my prince charming ....and we will fall in love and get married even if our family says no...the thought of fighting for the one I love and we get the happy ever after ending is all there...this is actually thanks to too much Korean dramas.

Sometimes I feel the definition of love is specific to a person....what I feel love means may differ to what another person feel love is, just like how we have different perspective of things.

Being In Love...

Few days back a "watermelon" made me realise something during a conversation which I totally agree with. Being in love as to do with emotions...that strong unexplainable desire you have for a person, you always wanting to see him or her..or that feeling of "I can't wait to see you". You think about them, see them in your plate while eating lol, you basically just want to be with this person and spend quality time with him or her. Thinking about it now, I think this the kind of feeling Korean dramas and Zee world make us feel sometimes...but meh! I like it, it makes a good watch.

Loving Someone...

Now this is the real work, a conscious decision to commit yourself to one person. I remember seeing a movie one time and there was the scene of the wedding where the bride said some words during her toast speech....

I like you in spite of your all your and I love you despite all you qualities.

I think it is safe to say that loving someone comes after you have seen the good and bad side of a person and you still choose to be with them. You understand that no one is perfect and that they have flaws too...and you accept their flaws also. You choose to be with this person in the long run, to grow and build lasting relationship with them.

Sometimes you go into a relationship because you are in love with this person...after a while things starts changing and you begin to see their flaws...in that moment you realise you never truly love this person. However, when you love someone and you are committed to that person...you already accepted their flaws and you are willing to embrace, support and help them through the workable ones...in good and bad times.

Nevertheless, I think they both go hand in hand...this two relates as being in love sets up the stage to loving someone.

Loving someone is a full time commitment. Use that time wisely. Cherish the high points and fight hard to conquer the challenges. No one said love would be easy, but it is dam sure worth it. — Carlos Wallace
