Este post está escrito en dos idiomas y dividido para facilitar la lectura.
Les quiero confesar que para mí es un poco difícil publicar éste post ya que en su portada tiene una foto mía, creo que es un gran paso para hacer avances en el amor propio. Me encontré con éste increíble post de @iamsaray en el cuál expresaba algunas cosas que quisiera lograr y cumplir antes de sus 30 años. Y la verdad es que sentí que era un buen ejercicio de amor propio, por lo menos para mí, el darse ese pequeño empujón de motivación para poder mejorar como persona. Por tanto antes de comenzar, quiero agradecerle profundamente a ella por haber publicado de primera mano su post.
Así que, antes de los 30 quiero...
I want to confess that it is a little difficult for me to publish this post because it has a picture of me on the cover, but I think it is a great step to make progress in self-love. I came across this amazing post by @iamsaray in which she expressed some things she would like to achieve and accomplish before her 30th birthday. And the truth is that I felt it was a good exercise in self-love, at least for me, to give myself that little push of motivation to be able to improve as a person. So before I begin, I want to thank her deeply for publishing her post first hand.
So, before 30 I want to ....
Siento que manejar varios idiomas de abre un mundo de posibilidades. Si ya de por sí puedes lograr eso únicamente con el inglés, imagínate lo que sería tener muchísimos más en tu repertorio. Soy una persona que le gusta descubrir nuevas culturas e ideas y, siento que una forma más real de acercarse a aquellas culturas es también pensando en el idioma en el cuál ellos lo hacen.
Aquí siempre podemos permitirnos apuntar hacía lo más alto y, la verdad es que mi meta más grande sería siempre manejar más de 6 idiomas aparte del mío, es decir, 7 en total.
I feel that mastering several languages opens up a world of possibilities. If you can already achieve that with English alone, imagine what it would be like to have so many more in your repertoire. I am a person who likes to discover new cultures and ideas, and I feel that a more realistic way to approach those cultures is also to think about the language in which they do it.
Here we can always afford to aim higher and, the truth is that my biggest goal would always be to handle more than 6 languages apart from my own, that is, 7 in total.
Todos los días trabajo para poder manifestar esto en mi vida. Las dificultades económicas ha sido algo que siempre ha estado presente en mi familia. Pese a que no viví una vida de escases o necesidad extrema, si que me vi bastante limitada a lo largo de mi crecimiento, como lo era escoger una cosa u otra y no ambas. El poder tener las posibilidades de pagar las cuentas, ir y venir, sin pensar en que en algún punto eso podría acabarse, creo que es una de mis más grandes metas a día de hoy.
Every day I work to be able to manifest this in my life. Financial difficulties have always been something that has been present in my family. Although I did not live a life of scarcity or extreme need, I was quite limited throughout my growth, as it was to choose one or the other and not both. Being able to have the ability to pay the bills, to come and go, without thinking that at some point it could end, I think is one of my biggest goals today.
Con esto me refería al principio que éste post ha sido una gran tarea por superar debido a que he colocado una foto mía de perfil. Aún estoy luchando contra mis propios pensamientos y mis inseguridades. Intento con cada día el reforzar y reconstruir mi amo propio, el cuál se ha convertido en un proceso largo y doloroso.
Algunas veces puedo decirte que estoy bien, sin embargo sí que le sigo huyendo a todo aquello que pueda perpetuar por un tiempo mi imagen corporal. Sé que el trabajo es largo y, sé que debo seguir intentándolo, pero soy sincera cuando te expreso que espero que, en un futuro pueda reconciliarme conmigo misma y lograr amarme.
By this I meant at the beginning that this post has been a big task to overcome because I have posted a profile picture of myself. I am still fighting my own thoughts and insecurities. I try with each day to reinforce and rebuild my self-love, which has become a long and painful process.
Sometimes I can tell you that I am fine, however I do keep running away from anything that might perpetuate my body image for a while. I know that the work is long and I know that I must keep trying, but I am sincere when I tell you that I hope that in the future I will be able to reconcile with myself and manage to love myself.
No sé si ésta haya sido una iniciativa de @iamsaray. De pronto no, de pronto ella sólo ha querido hacer un post referente a sus pensamientos y sensaciones. Sin embargo sólo quiero agradecerle porque, ha supuesto para mí una tarea de amor propio por superar. Gracias, desde el fondo de mi corazón. 💛
