First on Hive: LockdownAfter from Tuscany

Hello everyone!

After 2 abundant months I return to the platform. Indeed, this is actually my first post on Hive, after spending the last 2 years publishing some posts as steemian.

The reasons for this move are those that have pushed the majority to embrace this new wave: the desire to maintain the decentralization of a blogging system like the steem ecosystem was. I don't know if the choice is correct or not from the point of view of those looking for a profit, but it certainly is to maintain a system in which the word of every blogger has its own importance.

But now we come to us. Why did I take so long to go back? When the blockchain split took place, I waited to see which side many people could take sides with. For those of you who don't know, a few months ago I started a project, a weekly photo contest that has the same procedural criterion that governs a blockchain: a chain. Having loyal competitors who week after week competed in the competition, I simply wanted to be sure not to migrate to a platform that everyone would abandon, even though at the time I was already clear about my preference. The name of the contest is PhotoChain and very soon I will communicate the official passage on Hive.

And then? Then, the drama: SarsCov2 entered my country and the media was monopolized by doctors, scientists, civil protection and prominent personalities from our government. I live in Italy, in Tuscany, precisely in Marina di Massa, the seaside resort just next to Forte dei Marmi. Cases had not yet been reported here, but the enemy now famous all over the world was not long in reaching us. Together with many other cities across the nation, we also surrendered to the fact that SarsCov2 had already spread and the consequences would come soon.

First Lockdown!

In an official statement by the Italian government, on the evening of March 9th, Italy was declared a red zone in its entirety and from there more than 50 days have passed in which movements on the national territory have been prohibited. We were allowed only go out for conditions of necessity and for work reasons, but almost all workers suffered the consequences of a second lockdown phase in which even activities were forced to close, with the exception of those of the utmost necessity. In this period I spent my days at home, giving myself an exit to go to a bakery where we could buy bread. Some of these times I took some photos. Roads that were clogged with traffic until a few days before the lockdown, appeared deserted. There were rows of cars parked by residents and little more than a handful of people buying groceries. There were some hitches, but never sensational things.

The end of our first Lockdown dates back to May 4th. Before this date many hashtags and slogans were born, surely many of which will also have appeared in your area. "CeLaFaremo" ("We Will Do It Togheter"), "RestiamoACasa" ("Stay At Home"), and "AndràTuttoBene" ("Everything Will Be Fine") are the most famous. It was certainly not a good period, neither for the numbers daily communicated by the Civil Protection on contagions, deaths and the general trend of the epidemic, nor for unpleasant events to describe, caused by the strong stress to which all these restrictions inevitably led.

To date, things have improved, the numbers have shrunk, although attention remains high. People have resumed their lives, with all the necessary precautions. Safety distance of at least one meter from each other, mandatory mask if you are unable and recommended in daily use outside of your home. Travel outside the region is still prohibited except in cases of necessity or work, but things should change shortly.

The novelty that it made me more angry the most in this period is when I learned from the newspapers that the mayor of the municipality where I live has signed an order to temporarily close some of the public fountains where I sometimes go to collect fresh water. Bah, forget it. I don't want to get angry at this hour...

Having said that, little else. I can say that these 2 months have served to strengthen the willpower of many people, which certainly could serve to them in the coming months. I trust that they can all remain at attention and avoid the return of other similar measures. Some of our companies and part of the traditional economic world will suffer a lot, considering the blockage of almost all the events and activities that involve the gathering. Because yes, maybe I haven't mentioned it before, but gatherings are the other sore point of this story: forbidden until a later date. We'll see. Certainly it will be appropriate to do our best to avoid the increase in numbers which, as the media teach me, now there are more than 5 million infected and 300,000 deaths worldwide :(

To the next update, friends! This time talking about PhotoChain, an Actifit Report or a post-produced photo of the ones I used to publish up to a couple of months ago. I really hope I don't have to talk about other Lockdowns.

Ciao a tutti!

Come mai ho tardato così tanto a rifarmi vivo?

You are too right :(

Thanks for the info, I'll take a look at alphabetfun right away. The only sore point is that for now the tribes migrated to hive are still few. We hope they all reach us

Ah!... do you know some interface for hive beyond esteem to download on the smartphone? On my one, I don't see image previews and it is a disadvantage when I make a turn on the photography tag.
