Diario de una cuarentena (Como cocinar sin gas) // Diary of a quarantine (How to cook without gas)

Vivir en cuarentena nos resulta tan complicado y difícil a la vez,debido a que estaba habituada hacer diferentes actividades ante de esta pandemia como: salir a trabajar, ir de compras, salir de paseo, visitar la familia, compartir con los amigos, entre otras cosas, luego que apareció la pandemia todo mi mundo cambió y las cosas que hacía habitualmente tomaron otro rumbo, pareciera que todo cambió de color y nuestras energías quedaron en el olvido, aunque trato de sumarle a cada día esperanzas de vida para llegar a mi 100% de optimismo y fe.

Living in quarantine is so complicated and difficult at the same time, because I was used to do different activities before this pandemic as: go to work, go shopping, go for a walk, visit the family, share with friends, among other things, after the pandemic appeared my whole world changed and the things I usually did took another direction, it seems that everything changed color and our energies were forgotten, although I try to add to everyday life hopes to reach my 100% optimism and faith.

Mi día a día en la cocina

La pandemia resulta difícil cuando no contamos con los servicios básicos necesarios para el ser humano, es por eso que trato darle sentido a mi vida durante toda esta pandemia del covid-19. El servicio de gas es bastante escaso en mi comunidad, duramos muchos meses en que nos llegue este servicio, es una odisea que tenemos que pasar para adquirir una bombona, es por ello que me veo en la necesidad de ahorrar lo poco que tengo de gas, así que buscando en casa estrategias factibles para hacer la comida del día. En mi casa personal gracias a Dios no he llegado el caso de recurrir a los fogones con leña, porque cuento con una cocina eléctrica de una hornilla, una cafetera, tostadora y una arrocera eléctrica que me ha sido de gran utilidad y me ayuda a resolver mi día en la cocina, siempre y cuando tenga luz (risas) ya que este es otro problema común en Venezuela.

The pandemic is difficult when we do not have the basic services needed by human beings, that is why I try to give meaning to my life during this covid-19 pandemic. The gas service is quite scarce in my community, we last many months in which this service arrives, it is an odyssey that we have to go through to acquire a cylinder, that is why I am in the need to save what little I have of gas, so looking for feasible strategies at home to make the food of the day. In my personal house, thank God, I have not had to resort to wood-burning stoves, because I have a one-burner electric stove, a coffee maker, toaster and an electric rice cooker that has been very useful to me and helps me to solve my day in the kitchen, as long as I have light (laughs) since this is another common problem in Venezuela.

El desayuno

Como todas las mañanas me dirijo a la cocina para dar comienzo con la primera comida del día el desayuno, este día realicé unos bollos de harina de maíz en la arrocera como dije le doy el uso que quiero a esta arrocera ya que mi esposo la puso directa y allí cocino magnífico, con huevos frito, queso rallado, acompañado con una taza de café realizando en la cafetera, me encanta el café en la mañana ya que me hace sentir muy enérgica y así seguir el día a día.

Breakfast

As every morning I go to the kitchen to start with the first meal of the day breakfast, this day I made some scones of corn flour in the rice cooker as I said I give the use I want to this rice cooker because my husband put it directly and there I cook magnificent, with fried eggs, grated cheese, accompanied with a cup of coffee made in the coffee maker, I love coffee in the morning because it makes me feel very energetic and follow the day to day.

Luego procede al almuerzo

Esta vez corresponde una deliciosa pasta con carne molida, como la hice en la arrocera que la uso para todo puse a cocinar primero la pasta, después que estuvo lista la reserve, luego tomé en la misma arrocera preparé la carne molida con papa y berenjena, cuando la carne estaba lista mezclé con la pasta, acompañe este plato con tajadas de plátanos fritas.

Then he proceeds to lunch

This time corresponds a delicious pasta with ground meat, as I did in the rice cooker that I use for everything I put to cook the pasta first, after it was ready, then I took in the same rice cooker I prepared the ground meat with potato and eggplant, when the meat was ready I mixed with the pasta, accompany this dish with slices of fried bananas.

La Cena

La última comida del día es la cena esta es la más sencilla del día, esta vez compré unos panes para perro, salchichas, zanahorias y queso y preparamos estos deliciosos perros caliente, también usé la arrocera para cocinar las salchichas y los panes los coloqué arriba de la olla con el vapor.

The Dinner

The last meal of the day is dinner, this is the simplest meal of the day, this time I bought some dog breads, sausages, carrots and cheese and we prepared these delicious hot dogs, I also used the rice cooker to cook the sausages and I put the breads on top of the pot with the steam.

En estos días de pandemia he puesto en marcha un dicho que dice así: “Si del cielo te caen limones, aprende a hacer limonada” así que amigos debemos tener mucha fortaleza, constancia, de salir hacia adelante y buscar estrategias para llevar todo lo que estamos viviendo,es la hora de sacar el mejor provecho a estos limones debemos picarlo, exprimirlos, preparar un maravilloso jugo, sentarse en un lugar confort y disfrútalo. .

In these days of pandemic I have launched a saying that says: "If lemons fall from the sky, learn to make lemonade" so friends we must have much strength, perseverance, to go forward and find strategies to take everything we are living, it's time to make the best of these lemons we must chop, squeeze, prepare a wonderful juice, sit in a comfortable place and enjoy it.

Cuando se trata de vivir, es mejor hacerlo con la mayor esperanza y fe y si es posible de la manera más divertida posible.
