What did we eat? Today's food journal! (All Indonesian Food below 2 USD)

Hello, friends especially foodies!

Today i would like to share what we ate today, our food journal in a day.

First, at around 10am, mom made for us, spaghetti bolognaise...

It tasted savory, sweet and sour.. We also added the chilli sauce to give the spicy flavour in it. So delicious!

Than around 12 am, i ordered by online apps, 2 portion of gado-gado with rice cake for the lunch. Like usually, we asked to put a chilli when the seller made the peanut paste. Here how it looked like

The vegetables were fresh. The peanut sauce was savory, sweet and also spicy. So tasty!

For the lunch we paid 37,600 IDR or around 2.54 USD. So, for each of us, it was only 1.27 USD. I recommended the gado-gado here.

And last, for the dinner... I tried something we had never ordered before. Guess what was it?

Here they were

The yellow colour one was mine, while mom's was white. It had different flavour. Mine was the yellow rice (so yummy, tasted savory) with the fried egg (no flavour), chicken opor (had savory and sweet flavour, it was chicken which was traditionally indonesian, made with coconut soup) and also perkedel or potato cake (savory flavour). It also served with the spicy sambal (chilli paste).

But, unfortunately mom's rice was a bit weird in taste. No delicious! It served with the kering tempeh (dried fried tempeh which had sweet and savory flavour), long green bean balado (stirred with the chilli), balado egg (had spicy and savory flavour).Also served with the spicy sambal.

And also we ordered the dessert, kolak pelangi (kolak was usually made from banana or cassava in coconut milk soup) but it was different, they gave the colourful ronde (made from sticky rice with the peanut filling) instead.

It had weird flavour too, not usual. It had sweet flavour but also i felt a bit of sour, i thought it was not fresh! yuck!

Here how much we paid for the dinner

It was 59,050 IDR or only around 3.99 USD for all of the dinner plus dessert. Or for a person, it was only around 2 USD.
But so sad, that i only recommended the yellow rice menu from this food stall.
