PARTING

I walk down the street feeling rough cracks through thin soles
The wind moving, as if I were a ghost and nothing more
Through closed windows comes a jangle of tunes
All of them with as much flow as ice
I’m drowning in this sea of indifference
Desperate to swim up beyond cloudy skies

Looking at the horizon till my eyes get weary with tears
Another day without your smile just passes by
I am still holding with the sense of numbness
It hurts so bad I can't take it any longer
All I can do is close my eyes
Wishing that the pain be released and gone

Things can come and go but not my love for you
When I felt like the world was falling apart around me
You made me feel as though it wasn't so bad
I have loved you means I always will
No matter the harsh words or the failings of the moment

Letting the feeling to flow like a river
Misty yesteryears of our lives that taunting me
Parting is the only way to stem the emotional bleeding
With only so many days to bask in the shared love
Decades to come the silent morning chill will dictate the tales
Of your perpetual glories with a reminiscent touch to its lips

Centuries to come, the dazzling woods will rejoice
Fond memories of your grace and compassion
Millennia to come, the blind will see
The deaf will hear what you have done and said
Pleasant memories that you left behind
It's been such a long time and I miss you so much

Feeling like a real zombie and dumb
Savoring the pain and sufferings in a world of make-believe
Saying goodbye to a lost love is a hard blow to my head
My heart is torn that I am losing memories of you
The voice inside is driving me to find where I belong
It is easier said than done my love

There's no other way, I have to go
I have to pick up the pieces and live my life without you
Remember my love, goodbye doesn't mean forever
You will always be in my heart and soul no matter what
We may have different worlds for now
Who knows, someday we will be together again...
