Charcoal Drawing Of A Friend (Complete Drawing With Steps, Materials And Tips)
Hello Everyone. I hope you're all doing great.
I made this charcoal drawing of a friend who's birthday is tomorrow as a gift for her. She's a close pal and I promised to get her something special as her birthday gift and here it is.
I spent a total of about 8hours for the drawing. The materials used are;
• A graphite pencil
• Black and White Charcoal pencils
• Pelican Paper
• Dry Paint Brush
• Eraser
Here are my steps in the drawing;
First of all, I made a free hand sketch of her face and attire. I drew and measured out her facial features in this stage as a guide to avoid mistakes while using the charcoal.
Next, I began outlined and shaded the dark parts of her face and head wear with the black charcoal pencil.
Afterwards, I proceeded to blending the face with the brush.
And then to the rest of her body and head gear.
Next, I began building the tones and increasing the intensity of both light and shade on her face and body.
I also shaded and add some details on her necklaces in this stage.
Finally, I added some more details to her face until I got a satisfactory result. The portrait has been framed and is set for the presentation. I hope she loves it.
Thank you taking your time to read and view my drawing. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your day.
