Green Mango Dip
In Venezuela it is already mango harvesting season. My favorites are green or half-ripe mangos, there are many ways to eat them, with salt, with lemon, with soy sauce, etc. But today we will make a very popular sauce in Venezuela to accompany grilled meats, "guasacaca".
The "guasacaca" is a sauce to dip in everything we have on the grill: meats, chickens, sausages, etc. It's very delicious and very easy to prepare.
Ingredients
- 3 Mature green mangoes
- 15 oz. of mayonnaise
- 1 lemon
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 sprigs of parsley
- salt to taste
Preparation:
- Wash and peel the mangoes.
- Separate the flesh of the fruit from the stone and cut it into pieces.
- Add all the ingredients to the blender: mango pulp, mayonnaise, juice of one lemon, parsley sprigs, garlic cloves and a touch of salt to taste.
- Blend all ingredients together until well-incorporated.
Serving and tasting...
