Hace unos meses emigré a la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Un lugar maravilloso. Ésta tierra es bendita y muy fructífera. Vivo en una casita muy pequeña en la ciudad con un patio chiquitito. Sin embargo, tengo la fortuna de contar con unos maravillosos árboles frutales.

A few months ago I emigrated to the city of Buenos Aires. A wonderful place. This land is blessed and very fruitful. I live in a very small house in the city with a small patio. However, I am fortunate to have some wonderful fruit trees.

Mi limón / My lemon

El limón es un regalo del cielo para mi. Soy de las que acompaño todo con limón. Tengo una plata de limón que me da limones todo el año. Es una maravillosa especie de limón grandes y jugosos.
Todos los días me sirvo de sus frutos. Uso el limón para jugos, para ensaladas, para infusiones, remedios, para todo es bueno el limón.

Lemon is a godsend to me. I am one of those who accompany everything with lemon. I have a lemon silver that gives me lemons all year round. It is a wonderful kind of large and juicy lemon.
Every day I use its fruits. I use lemon for juices, for salads, for infusions, remedies, lemon is good for everything.

Mi ciruelo/ My plum

Este fruto es muy bonito y sabroso. Hace un mes cosechamos los ciruelos. Es una fruta muy dulce y jugosa. Pudimos recoger mas de tres baldes llenos de frutas y regalarlos a los vecinos.
Mi ciruelo en primavera florece lindo, se llena mi casa de abejitas polinizando el árbol. Es todo un espectáculo. Hoy me proporciona una rica sombra en la ventana de mi habitación y es el posadero de varias aves que me despiertan con su agradable trinar.

This fruit is very beautiful and tasty. A month ago we harvested the plums. It is a very sweet and juicy fruit. We were able to collect more than three buckets full of fruits and give them to the neighbors.
My plum tree blooms beautifully in spring, my house is filled with bees pollinating the tree. It is quite a show. Today it provides me with a rich shade in the window of my room and is the perch of several birds that wake me with their pleasant chirping.

Mi aguacate o palta / My avocado

El aguacate o también llamada palta, es una rica y codiciable fruta codiciable en esta parte del mundo. Todos estan expectantes a que mi árbol esté listo para cosechar sus frutos. Tengo una lista larga de pedidos porque aquí el aguacate es un fruto costoso y muy deseado. En 2 meses podremos bendecir a muchos con sus frutos. En mi casa, éste árbol me proporciona una sombra en el área de la cocina.

Mi Yerbabuena / My Yerbabuena

La Yerbabuena es una planta medicinal, sirve para infusiones, té, bebidas calientes, así como condimento para algunas comidas exóticas. Algunos también la usan para aromatizar bebidas alcohólicas. Yo disfruto ver el verdor y el aroma que le brinda a mi jardín.

The Yerbabuena is a medicinal plant, used for infusions, tea, hot drinks, as well as a condiment for some exotic foods. Some also use it to flavor alcoholic beverages. I enjoy seeing the greenery and the aroma it brings to my garden.

Mi viñedo/ My vineyard

Ésta plantación es mi favorita, pues la sombra que proporciona a todo el pasillo de la entrada a mi casa es un refugio para el crudo alto verano que hay en el sur del mundo.
Las uvas son deliciosas y en unos pocos dias ya estaremos cosechando para nuestro consumo y para compartir con los amigos.

This plantation is my favorite, because the shade it provides to the entire hallway of the entrance to my house is a refuge from the harsh high summer that is in the south of the world.
The grapes are delicious and in a few days we will be harvesting for our consumption and to share with friends.

Hablo siempre con mis plantas, les canto, todos los días las riego con abundante agua para que esten hidratadas en éste inclemente verano. Verlas florecer, dar sus frutos, alimentarnos con ellas y darle esa sensación de paz y refugio seguro a mi hogar es una verdadera bendición.

I always talk to my plants, I sing to them, every day I water them with plenty of water so that they are hydrated in this inclement summer. Seeing them flourish, bear fruit, feed on them and give that feeling of peace and safe haven to my home is a true blessing.
