Hey Guys,

As there is a complete lock-down here in India for 21 days, its strict orders by the government to be at home and maintain social distance as much as possible in order to combat the spread of the Virus.

Kids are at home and getting bored every now and then as they can go down to the park and play - so all day long they have to be at home. Watching TV, playing video games, reading books everything has been tried but they still feel bored and want to do something different. So, this time my daughter, under the supervision of her mother, prepared delicious vegetarian pizza (INDIAN STYLE) with loads of veggies (capsicum, onions, tomatoes) for the family.

I am so delighted to share the delicacy my little girl prepared for us today. It turned out to be very delicious and was a perfect combination of healthy ingredients that tasted much better than the Pizzas which we order from outside - and finally making homemade Pizza worth the effort put in by my daughter.

Here is a simple recipe, just in case you wish to try it out at home with your little champs!!

Dish Name: Pizza with Veggies Recipe (Indian Style)

Health Traits:

Has vegetable like:

Capsicum: As we all know that capsicum is an excellent source of vitamin C and A and is also a wonderful source of dietary fiber. (My kids don’t like capsicum otherwise but when it comes to Pizza all is acceptable)

Tomato: Tomatoes is kids' all-time favorite, they love the tangy taste and also the red awesome color of it. Tomatoes are full of dietary fiber and antioxidants. Perfect for a healthy heart and is a rich source of potassium, Vitamin K and C.

Onions: Onions are a core part of an Indian meal, so it has to be a must. However, there are some religions who totally abstain from consuming onion or garlic. Having said that onion has its own set of nutrition like it protects us against high blood pressure and has anti-inflammatory properties. Not just that it also reduces the risk of heart problems.

Green Chilli: Green chilies are a great source of iron, magnesium, copper, potassium and are very low in saturated fat, sodium, and cholesterol.

Ingredients:

  • Pizza sauce 2 teaspoon
  • Mozzarella cheese 200g
  • Onion 1 (Finely chopped)

  • 1 capsicum (Finely chopped)
